Jeremiahs is an engineer, hailing from a prestigious family. While much of his family has been about preserving and building upon long held traditions, Mias has always been interested in challenging the boundaries of modern technology and equations and getting his hands dirty. 

He once had an entire crew of highly reputable mechanics and technicians working under him to help realize his concepts via the blueprints he'd draw up for them. But...his habit of micromanaging every aspect of his projects, coupled with his perfectionism and impossible standards, eventually drove them to seek employment under someone more..."reasonable".
His high expectations do not begin nor end with his teammates. He places more expectation upon himself than anyone else--perhaps by way of him internalizing the doubt and disappointment cast upon him by his father. His long working hours and occasional anxiety ridden outbursts are fueled primarily by his stimulant abuse. His own perfectionism and low self-worth has caused him to self-sabotage his efforts on more than a handful of occassions.

He has recently found a collaborative partner in Kiki, who brushes his mercurial criticisms off with practiced ease. Her unwavering confidence in her abilities and assessments contradict his own second guessing and nitpicky sensibilities in the best possible way, and together they are able to see his brilliant concepts through to completion. 

Mias is a bit of a mutt, born to a beta cether mother who disappeared from his life at an early age (harboring a greedy lust for the resource rich island of KelDel, so he has been told) Mias's acceptence into his father's side of the family hangs by a frail thread. He is under constant pressure from his father to forget about and deny his beta parentage, and shun his industrious 'blue collar" passions for the more priviledged and culturally revered pursuits afforded to the alpha cether.
