The most passionate of the Noble Swords, he is commonly looked upon as their de facto leader. He has a noble heart and seeks to rid the world of tyranny.
If Isaac is the brawn, and Artemis is the brains, then Armando would be the heart. He gets lost in his emotions far easier than his fellow Noble Swords, not because of any weakness but how strongly he feels about his convictions. He lacks the will to not act on his emotions, it is quite strange amongst rhythm users.
His comrades are the most important people in his life. Those willing to throw their lives away with him for their shared beliefs earn his unwavering respect. Outside observers might look at some of his decisions as foolish, but he himself wouldn't change a thing if he had to do it all again, simply because he honored his comrades to the very end.
Ascending to the immortal life of an ethereal didn't change his outlook at all. He continued his life's work to free his fellow resonators from the oppression they faced. Though at first, he tried to follow the ethereal's creed: "The dead should not interfere with the will of the living"
Taking that creed to heart, he would work with his fellow Noble Swords to push humanity in the right direction. Hundreds of years of promising Maestros and Resonators, all snuffed out before their prime, or worse corrupted by the influence he provided them drove the ethereal mad and his patience would run dry.
To that end he's recently taken to rather extreme measures. He has had the patience of the ever-shining sun in the sky but being let down time and time again led him down a dark path, one which he considered war as a valid option to right the wrongs of the world.
Life
Armando was born in 608AR during the period of the Natural decline. During this time, it can be said that the empires which Naturals ruled over were in the downturn, breaking apart due to war and simple genetics. As any dying superpower would do, they clamped down on Resonators and Maestros. It was especially difficult on the Resonators; any Natural would take out their frustrations on Resonators, with many being killed or enslaved.
Armando was born into a fairly average family, but even living the most mundane of lives didn't spare you from the horrors of society at the time.
The young resonator grew angry watching the atrocities committed against his people and was eventually radicalized.
Unlike his fellow Noble Swords, Armando did have a maestro, but they were killed by Naturals, further cementing the young Resonator's rage towards those who oppressed him. He surrounded himself in like-minded individuals and swore to free Resonators from the shackles of Naturalian oppression.
While he would recruit many soldiers for his cause, he would gain the most notoriety with his fellow generals, Artemis and Isaac, both of whom he saw the latent potential in.
How he died
It was said that he fought to his last breath, driven into a corner well after Artemis and Isaac had been killed, or at least that's how the stories go. There has been some doubt as to the authenticity of this tale. Some sources say he lost his will to fight after hearing his comrade's defeat and was subsequently executed. No one alive today truly knows except Armando himself.
Life after Ascension
Scholars to this day still argue about when exactly he ascended. There is a certain tale told that the three risen Noble Swords exacted bloody vengeance on the Natural nobility that killed them and their soldiers.
He appears at times in the public records from 700AR on, usually aiding in rebellions which seek to help Resonator-kind. Like his comrades he very rarely takes up his sword, though there are accounts of him testing those who seek a bright future for resonator-kind
Ensoleillement de Liberté
Armando's personal sword, this blade represents the Slashing attribute in its fullest. The blade itself is made out of refined Vatonium ore, giving it a "life" of its own. This allows the holder to not only block enemy spellcasting, but to allow Armando himself to channel spells through the weapon, allowing his spells to slice through his adversaries.
This relic also doubles as a Proto-Tuner, which Armando presents to a maestro who embodies the rebellious spirit of Slashing. This fealty can be rejected by Armando himself, at which point the relic returns to him.
