Nigel Wake

Nigel is determined to write the best sci-fi novel in today's society.  Of course, that means he never sleeps.  Ever.

Nigel Wake is a very sleep-deprived man, working on his sci-fi novels during the night, and then relying on coffee to get him through the day.  Nigel is snappy and very sarcastic, but a very laid back person.  He's patient, even if his words make it seem like that patience is wearing thin.  Most of the expressions he uses are made up and make no sense, but they amuse him, so he's not about to stop anytime soon.

Nigel has Tourette's and OCD; stressful social situations worsen his tics, but for the most part, adulthood brought improvement when it came to his tics.  His rituals, however, still prove to be disabling.  He tries to make jokes out of his OCD when others start to catch on, but he's just in reality super tired.
Nigel is British!  He has a limp and has to use a cane due to an injury he suffered in high school, and he's still considerably salty about it.

Nigel has an adopted daughter named Hope!  He loves her, but also broods over the fact that he's not the best father he could be.  They do get along well, however, when they share their past trauma.
