HALO:

Dervish is a professional hitman that works out of Shadeband. Unlike many of his peers, he works independently from the street gangs of the city. He is well-known for both his many masked personas and his 'group discount,' offering to clear entire buildings for clients at a slightly lower price per head. He uses a lot of the funds he pulls in from his work to fuel his hobbies: woodcarving and baking. 

Dervish legitimately believes that he's untouchable in the eyes of the law, and, to an extent, this is true. He HATES to lose but won't risk his life for victory/success. He knows when to retreat. He has a hairpin trigger temper and serious anger issues. He's normally pretty relaxed up until someone does something to piss him off. He's pretty self-reliant, and loathes asking for help. All of his jobs are done alone; he doesn't typically work with other people. He’s mostly apathetic towards the people he’s killed. He knows this should bother him, but it honestly doesn’t. He very rarely backs down from a challenge, especially one issued by a colleague. 

He mostly grew up on the streets and rooftops of a city he can't remember, having been orphaned as a young child. He mostly depended on the generosity of strangers and his own quickly developed resourcefulness. He ended up stealing a lot, nicking things from the market and the like and bringing them back to either eat or sell. The conditions were terrible for a while. He doesn’t remember a lot of his childhood, most of it has kinda been blocked out. He got into the business of crime and murder around late adolescence. As it became harder and harder to make a living through thievery, he turned to favor and contract work. It was mostly normal stuff at first, fixing furniture and the like, but he gradually started accepting more questionable work as other things dried up. First it was intimidation, then burglary, then kidnapping, then murder. He’s a fast learner. He treated each job like a puzzle, and just kept getting better at figuring people out. He currently lives in an apartment with one roommate, a hobgoblin investigator named Rugpull.
