Foil

Foil woke up one day with no memories of himself or where he'd come from. He spent some time wandering, in search of any clue to himself, struggling to keep himself afloat. He was found by Winchester and Kite, a pair of thieves led by the Kitbull. They took him in, and he joined them despite his conflicting personality. He was never one for thievery, he didn't like how it could hurt others, but he stayed, Kite and Winchester the only two who treated him with much dignity. He and Kite grow particularly close, a sense of camaraderie between them as they dealt with Winchester's peculiarities.

He worked with them for many years, in this time unknowingly and naively becoming Winchester’s scapegoat. His patterns and his crest were excellent distractions to keep him the center of any attention when escape was needed. During a heist, he was left behind after being deeply injured by a guard, surviving by the kind hand of a stranger before Winchester finally comes back for him. Truthfully, Winchester was never going to come back, but did so after Kite forced his hand. Kite reveals this, and the two make their plan to leave Winchester, Foil apprehensive. They abandon him during a heist, keeping Winchester distracted enough for them to leave without a trace.

They leave, and Foil becomes Kite's closest partner as they become a broker for historic artifacts. They hid from Winchester for some time, but the abandonment of the heist meant that it was unsuccessful, and Winchester was caught, giving up his sidekicks. The man, the head of the galaxy’s premier thieve’s guild, is angered by the attempt to undermine him, and take’s Foil’s eye in an act of revenge, the same thing he did to Winchester years before.

Foil grew listless, his purpose lost and his body injured. His wing never fulled healed, and his eye became a spyglass into another world, inescapable. Lifting his eyepatch, he could see countless strange beings and creatures, revealing the true veil between the chaos of the void and the pathways too and from it.

Foil one day attends a party of Kite's mingling with many of the elite of Polestar. There, he's approached with shock by a woman who he does not recognize. She was frantic, claiming that she knew Foil. Beyond that, they were married, the both of them taken aback, but Foil left consoling Holly, a woman he did not know. She returns the next day and apologizes, but says she wants to know him again, and apprehensively, he agrees. Like fate, they fall in love again, and move back into their old home together. Foil works at home, honing his baking skills.
