Snowball

A/N: Snowball is kinda half OC and half persona? Mainly leaning towards OC, tho. She’s more of a mascot/me if I was a fictional character. Of course, there are a few bits of her info that aren't EXACTLY me, due to me wanting a bit of diversity. (Ex: I'm actually right-handed, whereas Snowball is ambidextrous.) Also, trigger warning, some info here may be considered NSFW. Just little mentions of it, nothing graphic at all, but just to make sure. Some aspects of Snowball is based off of stuff like the Monster Girl Encyclopedia, after all. Not that I like them or anything, but the info is somewhat useful for creating kemonomimis and youkai. Other credits for creating her and all my other monster girl OCs goes out to Monster Musume and Rosario + Vampire !!

Appearance

Snowball is a Persian/Ragdoll mix nekomata yuki-onna. She gives off a ghostly appearance, due to her white and blue color scheme. She gives off a ghostly appearance, due to her white and blue color scheme. Her hair is white with a blue ombre, and is very messy and fluffy. Due to her hair being soft, the wind can easily just make it messy again, no matter how many times she brushes it. As she is shy, her bangs cover up her right eye, not wanting to be seen by the world. Her eyes are a tsurime shape. She has clear heterochromia, as her left eye is indigo and her right eye is teal. Of course, as a nekomata, she has two fluffy tails and small fangs.

Her cat form looks kind of same, except... well, she's a cat, ahah. She is still very fluffy and has a tendency to groom herself. She also is a bit more cuddly in this form. Her two tails now have the blue ombre at the ends.

Explanation about her powers

-A yuki-onna of some sort, Snowi has powers of cryokineses: the ability to control snow, ice, water, and rain. She is able to freeze almost anything, even water. She is immune to very cold environments that other spirits and monster species cannot tolerate. Heck, that's even her home environment. The air around her grows colder in her presence, unless it is very hot outside. She'll melt into a puddle and turn into an icicle if the weather gets too hot for her. The icicle containing her can migrate itself into a colder region where she can reform again, however. To avoid this, she'll often be seen carrying a parasol and have a lollipop in her mouth, as the lollipop contains an ice cold core which helps regulate her body temperature. She can lose control of her powers if she is feeling strong emotions or if she doesn't pay attention to her surroundings. For example, when she is angry, she can create snowstorms unintentionally. For other helpful spells, by blowing on a object three feet away from her, Snowi can make the object levitate towards her. She also uses that same ability to freeze the air that's around her. Her hands and feet can freeze and break ice with one touch as well. If she wishes, everywhere she steps, the ground beneath her feet can freeze instantly. She also has retractable ice claws. (Basically the same thing as Mizore Shirayuki's ice claws.) She can create shadow balls, ice shards, hexes, and other ghost/ice powers when generating power in her body. For her ghost powers, Snowi has those standard ghost powers such as turning transparent, fading away, being invisible, turning into tiny wisps of snow when threatened, possessing others (which strangely also leaves them with a burn when she gets out of their body, basically like freezer burn), sneaking up on others using her own shadow, shapeshifting into certain visuals with her own shadow to terrify her victims, levitation, summoning beams of ghost lights, contacting mysterious shadowy tentacles, stealing souls by freezing them, creating shadowy illusions, and feeling her way through the darkness. ...And yes, she DOES in fact have that power to drain life forces by sleeping with someone. She's never used it, though.

-About the fact that she steals souls... She prefers to use a method like this: She steals the soul of someone and freezes it, then leaves it in the Yuki-Onna Village, the village of all the frozen souls. The life itself is still alive, but the body is left alone until the soul comes back to it. Souls can, in fact, thaw out at any random time, depending on how fiery and heated (determined and spirited) the soul is to escaping. The minimum amount of time the soul can thaw out is two days. The reason why sometimes she steals souls is because her species is very prideful on stealing souls. In the very center of the Yuki-Onna Village are the souls of others that yuki-umas have caught. Yuki-Onnas will brag to other yuki-onnas that the soul they caught put up a real fight, but they still managed to catch it in the end. Heck, they'll even steal the souls of their living friends as a prank.

-Her right eye lights up in a blue flame when she's channeling her full powers, or even when she's feeling strong emotions. The reason for this is because of her nekomata traits (along with the ends of nekomata tails being able to light up flames) and some of her relatives are actually fire cats, so she got this power from them. Of course it's not hot, wouldn't her eye be burned out by now if it was? Her friends actually like to joke around about this as well, as when it lights up, they hold a marshmallow with a stick right in front of her eye much to her amusement.

-She has a black ribbon she keeps with her at all times, as that is her weapon, given to her by her family. It is a ribbon that can shapeshift into a weapon that matches up with her personality. In her case, it's two scythes. The blue scythe is the Snow Scythe and the purple scythe is the Spirit Scythe. Respectively, the Snow Scythe deals with snow powers and the Spirit Scythe has ghost powers. They are more capable of doing things a regular snow spirit can't do. For example, the Snow Scythe can be waved through the air to create a powerful snowstorm, and the Spirit Scythe can cut through the ground to make spirits of the underworld come out. Anyways, the ribbon can shapeshift into different sizes as well, as she uses it as an accessory. A big ribbon similar to a kimono ribbon tied around her waist, a little anklet tied around her ankle, or a choker tied around her neck. She ALWAYS has it.

-Like all the others in the Spirit World, she can shapeshift herself into an actual animal, in her case, a cat. Now you may be thinking, "Is this even useful?" Well, yes and no. There are pros and cons of each form, just like real life. Snowi's cat form is smaller, therefore sneakier. She can easily fit into tight spaces due to cat's flexibility. While Snowi in her kemonomimi form is definitely more powerful, in this form, she actually loses her cat flexibility. While she is still able to use her ice claws (that are still as big as her) and summon some snow powers, they are noticeably weaker in this form.

-Location: Probably somewhere in the Arctic lands, near the Yuki-Onna Village

-Assets: She usually has at least one accessory as she goes out of her house (ex: bandana mask, hospital mask, stockings, choker, etc.) For stuff in her bag, she carries around her wallet (which has a Black Rock Shooter picture on the front, as she's weeb trash), water, sunglasses, drawing supplies, a poem book, some cookies, pepper spray, a pocket knife, and some prank items.

-Property: A cozy cottage-shaped igloo surrounded by winter trees

-Money: She's pretty careful with money, as a Capricorn. In her words, "I don't want to spend my money on buying lowly fast food that'll only bring pleasure for a short time! I only spend money on more important stuff, like games!" So, she saves up pretty often. She splurges a big amount of money on games/accessories/clothes when she gets enough, though.

-Clothes: Oh geez, ahah... I have a lot of clothes I like to imagine her in. Sometimes even my clothes that I have in real life. I think she has like a Tumblr girl style, to be accurate?? Graphic tees, oversized sweaters, ripped shorts, baggy shirts/sweatpants, hoodies, sleeping clothes, her maid outfit since she works in a maid cafe, etc.  Buuuut if I had to say, her default outfit would probably be the pale blue dress with the black bow tied at the waist. Also, she sometimes likes to wear accessories as well, like thigh high stockings, masks, bandage wrap, chokers, and collars. But here's the catch... She ALWAYS has her black bow. Whether it's tied around her neck, her waist, her ankles, what ever. It's ALWAYS there, because that's her weapon. She can shapeshift that black bow into two scythes.

-Voice headcanon: Tbh, I actually picture her with my own voice since she is basically me, ahah. How I would describe it... Well, my online friends, when first seeing my face but not yet hearing my voice, have said that they expected my voice to be a lot more higher pitched. I honestly am insecure of my voice because it actually sounds a lot lower than most girls. Even as a young teenager, my voice was really low. Not necessarily that low that it sounds like a boy's voice, but it's still low. And not to mention, I am physically unable to speak loudly for some reason, so me being soft-spoken adds to that fact. So basically, even though Snow may look like she has a high pitched voice, it's actually a vocal dissonance that she sounds a lot lower than how she looks. If I ever start talking on my Youtube channel, just imagine my voice to be her voice, ahah.

-Her dad wanted her to make a lot of friends, while her mom just said, "It's okay to only have one best friend. The rest are all just acquaintances and classmates."

-Definitely... she's secretly a major pervert. She probably thinks about sex every time she's alone in all honesty. And she's almost ALWAYS alone. Also, in games, she is quick to jokingly comment on a female character's breast size and how THICC she is. (For example, Akane Owari from Danganronpa 2. She ALWAYS had to comment on her how big her boobs were every time she showed up. She just couldn't stop staring at those luscious bahoobies ack)

-BUT, even though she is a major pervert, the topic of sex really depends on her mood. Sometimes it makes her uncomfortable, as it can make her randomly remember certain events that happened in her past, so it is best not to mention sexual topics in front of her all the time as there is a good chance that she'll start crying and panicking if it's too much for her

-Yeah, she's a good sport. She doesn't care much about winning or losing in games, because she knows she's having fun and that's all that matters... Except in ranked modes, when she gets kind of salty when she's on a losing streak.

-She feels like she wants to cry every time she does something wrong

-She constantly feels like people are annoyed by her, which is why she never wants to get close to others and be their friend since she thinks she may already know that they don't want to be friends with her

-Even though she's shy, Snowi actually sometimes like the attention she gets when she's singing up on stage

-She... cares about what other people think, and at the same time doesn't? Like, she is curious on what others truly think about her, but at the same time, she just wants to be herself since knows she can't please everyone

-She was raised very modestly.. She doesn't mind, but sometimes it makes her feel bad, as she sees that other kids have grown up to be so tough and she was never taught that as there was never any danger around her neighborhood

-She claims to be average at everything she does, and believes she has no real talent, though her teachers have told her that she was very skilled in writing ever since she was little.

-Her voice changes depending on the environment around her. For example, if there is a lot of people around her, as she is feeling uncomfortable, her voice becomes low and monotone and soft to the point where the person next to her can't hear what she's saying. The less the people, the louder and more emotional her voice gets.

-Snowi gives herself many nicknames since she feels her name is kind of plain. She gives herself the name 'Spirit' as an online alias.

-She's such a tsundere at times. She tries to deny that she enjoys being petted, but those purrs sure do mean the opposite

-She remembers a bunch of stuff from her past. Like, she still remembers some events that happened to her in preschool. Not that she wants to remember, but because she just isn't able to get those past memories out of her head for some reason. However, even though she can remember stuff from her childhood, she can't remember 60% of what happened in a recent week.

-Warm atmospheres make her sleepy... or sweaty

-She blushes a shade of purple. (I actually have a backstory on why this is... I originally wanted her to blush a shade of blue, but I think that would have been too much blue for her color scheme so I thought of making it red instead, like in real life, but I think that also wouldn’t make much sense due to her being a yuki-onna, so I ultimately decided to just combine the two colors.)

-You can tell when “The Beast” is out when her pupils are vertical and she is constantly doing a mischievous smirk

-She is a very picky eater

-She is ambidextrous

-She knows how to swim. Yeah, surprising right? She may be a cat, but she LOVES swimming. She took swimming lessons when she was in 2nd grade, and never forgot her moves since.

-She’s EXTREMELY ticklish. Everywhere.

-She loves her family despite how strict they are

-When she's working at the maid cafe, she actually puts on a facade to hide how shy she is to the customers. Because she wears a maid outfit, which she honestly thinks it doesn't fit with her personality, she tries to get into the mindset of being a completely different person. Surprisingly, it works well, but hints of her shyness are still prominent..

-She has inner monologues with herself ALL of the time. And when she's alone, she has a tendency to talk and laugh to herself out loud, as if she's having a real conversation with someone. This is because of her lonely nature, she pictures the ideal life in her head: having fun and laughing with friends.
