Summary

BORN the firstborn heir of a hidden forest kingdom, Nicholas was cursed with the gift of magic, developing all the signs at a young age. Being heir, he was of course educated, tutors immediately hired to educate the young man as his powers developed. A young scholar, magic only worsened his habits as it gave something that could be constantly experimented with. It was everything and more, a constant companion when going through the motions of everyday life, and something he needed to understand on a fundamental level.

IT was his seventeenth birthday he forsake his title and his birthright to head into the wilderness, bringing with him his study materials, and an ample sack of coin. A stupid decision really, but something he made work for himself. Traveling the countryside to leave his kingdom of origin, he settled with a cabin in another country in isolation. The perfect place to keep researching magic, and experiment with it.

HIS home sits in a clearing marred by soot and a faint crackling of energy, apparent to those without any magical ability. The structure itself still stable, but marred by his attempts to look deeper into his own abilities and their origin.
