PERSONALITY
Seems lost in thought and confident yet uneasy. Carries himself with an aloof manner; has a habit of looking down on people which makes him seem unfriendly and cold.
Likes to consider himself a realist but regardless of if Hendrix chooses to acknowledge it or not he has become pessimistic, cynical and bitter since the war started.
Impulsive and impatient - Hendrix hates waiting around. He’d rather be doing something.
Insecure AF; doesn’t recognize his abilities as an achievement (often feels like he could’ve done better) despite being recognized as both a flying ace (5+ confirmed kills) and ace in a day.
Ridiculously competitive (like dude chill), always looking for chances to prove himself.
Surprisingly emotional. He’s just shit at detaching from and compartmentalizing his turbulent emotions Hendrix is fully aware of this and would prefer it wasn't obvious that he y'know has feels.
Irritable when tired which is 24/7 nowadays. Doesn't know it but he's suffering from combat fatigue.
Prone to becoming hangry. If he starts snapping over dumb sit, becomes irrational and difficult to reason with, give him a snack. Hendrix is easier to deal with when he's eaten.
Very private, closed off and not very fourthcoming which can make conversations hard going. Generally sticks to shop talk - it’s an easy and safe subject though he does like to discuss ideas, theories or debate with the right person. Stuff like life after death or are we alone in the universe.

PREFERANCES
- LIKES FLYING Loves the rush flying gives him. He also gets a sense of freedom he doesn't often feel on land when he's in the cockpit.
- DISLIKES WAITING AROUND He finds it frustrating, especially when he's on dispersal. The plane's overheating and so am I.
- HOBBY IS STRATEGY AND THINKING GAMES Like chess. Anything that keeps his mind quiet and occupied. Card games work too.
HABITS
- VERY TIDY Keeps his living space very clean, tidy and organized. Everything has it's correct place. Goes as far as rolling underwear.
- NAIL BITER Also picks at the skin around his nails. Does this when bored, agitated or stressed, often doesn't realize he's doing it.
- SNORES When Hendrix snores he snores loud. Hitting him with a rolled up newspaper seems to be enough to stop him.
TRIVIA
- Plays the violin (classically trained), he's actually pretty good at it. Falls out of practicing the first few weeks of being fully operational but picks it up again once he's used to the workload and balancing his social life with rest periods.
- Hates public speaking due to his inability to raise his voice.
- Finds it hard to imagine a life during peacetime.
- Despite being a natural in the cockpit (Hendrix was the first in his class to fly solo), Hendrix nearly flunked the AB Initio course. He's not an academic and often barely met the minimum requirements in groundwork classes.
- Hendrix bullshits excuses to fly his plane; I need to do an instrument check or whatever else his CO will approve a test flight for.
- Hendrix is secretly scared of night flying. Having to completely rely on his instruments and navigational skills really bothers him and sets him on edge. He trashed a plane during training as a result of becoming disorientated when his artificial horizon stopped working in a night flight.
- Shares 4 kills with Beck which became a running joke. "Are you gonna get 'em nice and beat up for me to finish off again?"
- Has a habit of running his hands over the fuselage after a sortie (it helps him ground himself and calm down). He's often teased for being in love with his bird. On the contrary to popular belief, Hendrix does have a sense of humor and feeds into the joke by talking sweetly to his plane as he's checking for damage.
