Profile

"I call her name... across an endless plain... She'll answer me... wherever she may be..." - I Monster

The heir of mourning, Epitaph represents grief, loss, and all that comes with the aftermath of death. They represent, too, the creation, unity, positivity, and passion that can come from destruction. As such, they are a common associate of Axiom, as each are a side of the coin of death & destruction. Unlike Axiom, however, they don't enjoy scaring people with their appearance and abilities, and prefer to have more fun with then. Their speech comes out low, monotone, emotionless, regardless of how they're feeling at the time.

Epitaph's hadge is an eternally dark park, illuminated by incandescent street lights, giving it an orange ambience. Trees, benches, sidewalks, are dotted throughout the hilly landscape. At one section, there exists a large graveyard with a run-down house amid the graves. The house has numerous shattered windows, wooden make-up, and a porch. They live within this house, amid the dusty, disheveled furniture.

Epitaph's abilities are limited. They possess the ability to reshape the scribble that is their 'head' into various shapes and forms, such as signs displaying messages, large eyes, or keeping it the mess it is. Their eyes, mouth, face as simple and appear drawn-on, and can be hidden and shown at will. Epitaph will frequently be very playful with their head & manifestation abilities, creating text to guide people, tease them, or so forth. They can also taste with their feet, developed out of a desire to want to be able to try different foods and such.

This mass can also unleash beam attacks that maintain the scribbled appearance. These attacks are harmless to inorganic surfaces, but can damage organic material via distortion and randomization. Epitaph's teleport requires them to fly up into the air, flapping their wings, before disappearing amid them with a twirl, scattering ghostly feathers.

Theorized to be a voidborn variant of Becquerel.
