After the immense success and valuable skills Amadi showed after some years of working, the museum decided to add another Grem to the team. A new space center had recently been added along with an incredible planetarium so a new Grem was commissioned to fit a space theme with a bright and outgoing personality. One of the main requests the museum had was for the Grem to have the newer, special Bioluminescence gene so the Grem would be easy to find in the planetarium and be fun for children. On receiving Orion however the curators found him doing small light shows in secret, projecting constellations and making them move for children. As time went on Orion grew more and more adept at light manipulation and it became a sneaky part of his regular show for the overnight children.

The curators wrote to Gremcorps, thanking them for leaving off the Bioluminescence and giving him such beautiful light manipulation skills, not realizing that light manipulation was not something Gremcorps did. Within a few hours a Gremcorps van arrived and Orion was seized, despite the protests of his co-workers and a frantic Amadi. The curators, along with Amadi, drove immediately to the nearest Gremcorps facility and desperately worked for the release of Orion, who was undergoing rigorous testing and retesting to see if he was a Cypherus or would become dangerous. It took days for Orion to be released, with an around the clock vigil by Amadi and various museum workers rotating to always have someone at the Gremcorps facility trying to get him out. When he was finally released he was exhausted and haggard, sporting vicious bruises on his arms, his ears coloured from fear he was escorted out by his friends. He resumed work the next day to distract himself. Sitting quietly in his office staring at papers Amadi came and sat next to him when Orion broke down, terrified of his ordeal and the horror that he'd nearly been unmade if it hadn't been for the museum being so vocal and public about his release. It was a week later Gremcorps replied to the initial message with a generic “Thank you for letting us inspect your Grem, they're in good health and we hope you enjoy your product.” The curator, deeply hurt by the mistreatment of Orion did his best to reassure the Grem from then onwards that he'd never, ever, be sent back to Gremcorps, even for routine check-ups and that his light shows were openly supported by the museum.

Since the incident Orion has worked more to perfect his skills, seizing the opportunity to show that not all Grems with unexpected skills are dangerous and they can be a benefit. His shows in the planetarium are widely loved and he's become an unexpected face of space sciences due to his charm and abilities.

Orion specializes in astrophysics and astronomy, with a basic understanding of cosmology. Primarily though, he runs the planetarium and the shows within it and does any research he does in his spare time while reading through the latest research. He also thoroughly enjoys teaching at the local university and doing lectures.

Orion is a member of the BlackKites, using a decent chunk of his museum and science funds to help support Grems in need of help. He has a contact in -- that he sends Grems to, or the contact information for the Grem in need of help so they can be rescued. After his blatant torture at Gremcorps when assessing him for if he was dangerous or not he's done all he can behind the scenes to rescue Grems that might find themselves in a similar situation.
