Witch

Witch is a friend of Harriet and Joules. Her nickname comes from her online handles, which always have the word "witch" in them. She prefers being called Witch over her real name, which she thinks is embarrassing and unfitting.

Extremely online. She has an addiction to social media and is always posting and will never log off.

She owns a black cat. Because, of course she does. She loves her cat very much and considers him her familiar. The cat has some residual magic power in it, probably.

She learned how to be a witch primarily through online research. She does own some legitimate books on witchcraft, both in physical and digital formats. It’s much easier to look stuff up on her phone than flipping through a bunch of old books.

She is a firm believer in the power of witchcraft and magic. As far as she’s figured out, it’s all mental — if you believe in it, then it becomes real, and all of the components and rituals in magic exist primarily to make your mind more willing to believe it. It’s for this reason that she believes she can stop Harriet's transformation.

She met Harriet through an art commissions post Harriet made a few years back, and she commissioned Harriet to draw a character for her because she was fond of Harriet’s art. They wound up talking more and became friends, though not particularly close ones.

She knows how to play the guitar.
