History

No one knows how old he actually is. He has been a steady presence as one of the most senior Mage Protectors in Namarast since anyone can remember.

Rumour has it, he was born before the wild clans were conquered, but no one knows how he truly came to the order. He keeps his origins a closely guarded secret, but his accent is undeniably wild.

When asked of his origins, he will give a different answer every time. Not a single one of his stories is ever the same.

It is open knowledge that he is one of the oldest - if not the oldest - living Mage Protector, a renowned battlemage from the first class of Mage Protectors.

Fought the monster of faline in 1223. Died there, and was resurrected by a pact made by his battle partner - who was then devoured by the monster as Calibourne was dragged away to safety.

He did not take a break from his work to grieve or adjust to his corruption symptoms, but refused to take another partner into the field after this.

It’s been eleven years since that day, and Cal is committed to continue his work for the order, despite his misgivings about the new Archon.

He has stayed on in his role, primarily handling distress calls dealing with magical disruption in an area, magical ability manifestation, and many similar cases.

Begrudgingly still hunts monsters when summoned, but will not hunt alone.

Despite being on the order’s dime, he is secretly helping to smuggle vulnerable mages to safer, mage-run districts deep in the heart of the sunless jungle.
