Alice

Alice is a tigress in her early thirties who was born and raised in Irhynam. She has a mother and father, as well as one sister, Gardenia. She grew up with a rather close circle of friends, that were for the longest time just her best friends, Claire and Meros. Then around their first year in high school, they all met Natalia! Life was pretty usual for this Tigress and her friends, though not entirely normal and perfect. Alice is a strong, supportive friend. Often seen on her guitar, or down at Claire's shop where she works. She's always there for those she calls a friend, even if she just met them. Alice plays in two bands, La Vie en Rose and A Life Everlasting.

Alice and Claire were friends who met at preschool, and seemed to get along. They were very young, so it wasn't clear how well they got along or not, but their parents set up playdates and got to know each other, and the kids all got to know each other and were surely best of friends before long. Even if at that time, the two years older Gardenia didn't want to be seen around these younger kids at times. At this point, it's all fun and good times, and was more or less throughout elementary and junior high. Alice, much like her sister Gardenia, were in love with music and loved how their friends were learning instruments. Around the age of 10, and 12 for Gardenia, they were then offered lessons from Claire's mother. They gladly accepted, and Alice really liked the guitar, and she took it up! Gardenia took up the bass. This was something Alice was really glad to learn.

She also picked up on some things from hanging with Meros and Natsumi. Their parents would have a lot of things around their home that remind them of life back east. One thing that got Alice's attention from the very first time she ever visited their house was an Oni mask hung on the wall. Alice would later go on to wear a variety of such masks as her on stage look. Learning about the mythology and legends behind them also got her attention.

And then around the time she and Claire were 15, Claire had ended up getting pregnant, and this was the first time Alice really showed her protective of friends side, and she was there for the young mare any time she could be. She was defending her name at school, as naturally rumors did go about, but Alice was quick to shut them down. Alice was always kind of hot headed, but her best friend was everything to her at this time more than any other. It was around this time as well as the two were questioning the feelings they had for one another. And soon enough, Apres Midi was born. Alice was named as her Godmother without a second thought.

And as Alice and her friends finished up school, she and Claire indeed did date, and it seemed to be going pretty well. But after school, it was clear that it wasn't meant to be, despite how it was working, they really did find out that they were just better off as Best Friends. At the time Alice was bummed out, naturally. But well, her opinion surely will change down the road. Though while Claire went into movies for awhile, Alice had no real direction. She had her music, and she'd do some busking here and there, but she'd work dead end jobs, and did have an apartment with Claire for awhile.

Though, Claire wasn't in the movies forever, and soon decided to open up a shop. Alice gladly works there alongside her best friend and Meros. The shop had a pretty bumpy start, but nothing too bad. At this point, Claire did buy her own place, leaving Alice in the apartment by herself, but Claire pays well enough that she could manage the rent. They were also in talks of a band, they did have two guitarists, a keyboardist, plenty of vocalists, and a bassist. Natalia was behind the scenes and could surely cover the lack of a drummer, but they just kinda never got anywhere with it. But that'd soon change as who should float in the door one faithful day than their drummer, and the then newest best friend and addition to their friend group, Violette!

A while after that, Alice met someone she was not too fond of at first. Orion Antilae, the handsome tiger cop who helped Claire out. They hit it off, and Alice was weary, she wasn't sure who this guy is, and while she knew Claire was crazy about him, she didn't simply roll over. But, he constantly showed to be a fantastic boyfriend to her, and even a fantastic father figure to Apres, that over time, Alice grew to accept him, and indeed is thankful he found his way to Claire. But it wouldn't be long before Alice also got a pretty big break.

And surely enough, over a course of 5 years from meeting Violette and Orion, there'd be more friends in her life. Drift, Ghost, Vincent and Dahlia. Drift was her coworker who was pretty darn cool and they'd talk about some thing, including forming the first band Alice was in, A Life Everlasting. With her on the guitar, Drift on drums, naturally Ghost and Dahlia joined up, on bass and keyboards, respectively. She loves hanging out with Ghost and Dahlia, and playing with them in the band with everyone.

Alice is a surprisingly huge fan of Starlight Blast. a Synthpop project of Dahlia's. She's gone on to help Dahlia out with guitar, and even some vocals! It's very rare to not see Alice front and center in the crowd during one of Dahlia's gigs. When Dahlia goes out to Eden, you can bet Alice is there too. She knows some familiar faces in the crowds of the Eden gigs, but never really hit off any lasting friendships. One such fan she knows is a young human girl named Ayaka. She sees Ayaka with a few others at most shows, but she knows Ayaka is the main super fan of their group. Alice just can't help but smile at every person she sees in a crowd at one of Dahlia's shows.

And the last of the big friend additions to the group was Vincent Vangoat. Alice and Vincent are pretty good pals, but they only really hang out together at the shop, or in a group outing. They are trying to get better about that, because she loves hitting up the arcade with that goat! She was weary a bit at first, as it seems he and Violette were dating, but they aren't, sorta, they are complicated, but much like Orion, she could see they were good, regardless how they haven't actually sorted anything out. They're ghosts, they got time. And as Vangoat started to learn instruments, she's glad to jam with him, even if she finds his love of Sentai and Kamen Rider a bit much. She will however compliment him when he's got a flowing scarf on when he wanders in.

At some time in between the store opening and meeting Vangoat, the band she and Claire talked about a few times years prior finally happened. Claire had a real strong desire to get a band going as she saw how much fun A Life Everlasting was having. So then, La Vie en Rose was born. Alice provides Guitar for the band, mostly lead, but on some songs, Claire will take the lead, while Meros will then be on just vocals. They don't really have any one set lineup. The final lineup was most of what they had always talked about, though with Violette on the drums. Of course, they have guests join them on stage, Vangoat has also been on stage with them sometimes when they need an extra keyboardist, or if Gardenia needs to sit a show out, he'd back them up on his bass. Of the two bands, Alice truly loves to play in both, and this allows her to have a wide variety of music she plays, even more so when you factor in her assistance with Starlight Blast, providing Dahlia an extra hand once in awhile.
