Detailed Bio

Starla is wolf-coyote hybrid known as a coywolf. She bears a blue coat with purple markings and green paw pads with a matching marking on her belly. She sometimes wears an amethyst pendant around her neck, which someone told her would enhance her magical powers once she discovers them. So far tho, she has only been able to use telepathy when she concentrates.

Starla loves traveling the world in search of new adventures and new sites to see. She has met many creatures of all kinds along the way, made many aquantinces, some enemies, but only a few trusted friends. Starla is more than happy with this though, as her closest friends, Monono and Harbor have chosen to come along with her on her journey and it has made discovering the world all the more thrilling.

Starla has had only few mates in her life, whom she loved deeply and with all her heart. And though their paths have seperated through the course of time, there is always a piece of Starla's heart that goes with them.

There is however, one, whom Starla is bonded with for all time--a soul mate many would say: a wolf-fox named Cutter. While they are not lovers in the traditional sense, they still love each other as much any couple in the world.

Cutter forged matching 3-ringed copper bands for Starla and himself. Starla wears hers on her tail, to always remember him by, even when they are apart. When Starla begins to miss her soul mate, her friends, or her family in the North, she looks up at the moon and the stars, and sings a song. She knows that the Spirits will carry her song and they will see her in their dreams.

Starla isn't just a normal coywolf, though, as she does have one dark secret she hides from many.

Starla has a demon side.

Whenever Starla is injured, becomes angered, or plunges into deep depression, the green paw pad mark on her belly begins to glow and burn, and this is when she knows she is changing. Her fur deepens to a dark purple and several holes form in all four legs. Horns grow out of her skull like that of a Jacob Sheep and her jaw splits into 4 sections with viscious fangs. Lastly, an eye forms in the center of her forehead, swirling with 3 colors in the iris, even as a giant, toothy,  sentient mouth forms in her tail.

For Starla, this transformation is excruciatingly painful, but even as the monster is revealed, Starla's consciousness is taken over and her demon side, Sheila, takes hold. The only ways that Starla can transform back is by sheer willpower, which she is seldom able to do, or by waiting until Sheila uses up all of her magic and exhausts herself into unconsciousness. But by the time Starla wakes up, the damage her demon side has caused to her surroundings or those around her has already been done...

Starla fights a constant battle of hiding her demon from the world, looking for a lover who would have her forever, trying to be strong for her soul-mate, and still all the while keeping a bright, positive attitude to live her life every day to the fullest, if only for her friends. She may not always have it easy, and she may sometimes hide behind a mask of a smile, but she always is sincere and honest in what she says and does when she sacrifices a little bit of herself to make someone else happy.

Backround (How Starla Came to Be)

Starla is my main fursona. If I were werewolf or a coywolf, she is what I would be. I've always felt a connection to werewolves, wolves, and my Native American heritage, even before I read Twilight. The "Merecedes Thompson Series" with book one of "Moon Called" by Patricia Briggs is what brought me closer to coywolves and the Coyote Paw Mark tattoo on the belly I might someday get (the only tattoo I would ever get). Then, I found the furry community. Boy was that an adventure. I wanted to make a coywolf fursuit for sure, just like this. Then I discovered Furvilla and someone designed a character for me based off of my likes including my favorite colors of blues, purples, and greens. And thus, Starla was born...
