Alastair is a mysterious individual. Due to his outward aesthetic and interest in all things necromancy, people mistake him for a frightening and dark individual. This, though, is everything but true. Alastair is actually an extremely polite, and kind individual. His presence is very calming and one that makes you feel safe and understood. He is very well educated and well rounded, and doesn’t mind any kind of conversation with the menagerie of friends he enjoys making.
Alastair is very interested in the topic of death and all that surrounds it. He avidly practices necromanctic magic, as well as studying the process of decay. The vast number of cultural practices surrounding death is something that intrigues Alastair greatly. Because of this taboo interest, people often misjudge Alastair for liking violence. He does not tolerate any form of violence if it isn’t natural (like a deer being hunted in the wild…), He actually greatly disagrees with things like hunting for sport, as he believes it disrupts the natural balance of life. He thinks that death is apart of a great cycle, and shouldn’t be brought about earlier or later than when its destined to occur. Alastair is an extremely gentle person and would never hurt anything for the sake of his studies. He likes to go on excavations in his free time to study, in hopes to find bones, cool mushrooms and much more.
The way Alastair dresses is very noticeable, he sticks out with his “fancy” garments. Coupled with his polite nature, many people call Alastair the “school butler”, as he will absolutely tend to your needs whilst wearing his favorite suit. He sticks to deep reds and greys, and lots of black. His fashion taste is very victorian gothic. This gives off the impression that he’s extraordinarily neat and put-together, which he is! 
Some fun facts about Alastair
- He has a pet fish named Mortimer. She is a piranha with a strong personality. Visually, Alastair definitely hones the aesthetic associated with a black cat, or a raven, but, his favorite animals are piranhas! He also is very fond of koi, goldfish, and eel!
- He drinks blood! He is sure to source it ethically and believes in its spiritual capabilities.
- He has a dear stuffed animal named Mademoiselle. She is a stuffed cat that has been reduced to a near furless, soulless sack due to being an antique with a history of being greatly loved over many years. He thinks she’s quite nice! Even if she is a little bit of a demented rag-doll…
- Alastair has a strong moral code, and is easily upset at seeing others mistreated. He‘s bared quite a deal of mistreatment in his life, but even so, he does not wish for anyone to be mistreated or feel as if they are less than. Because of this, he does not hesitate to stand up for others and gracefully handle various tensions.
- He has a very specific cadence of speech and it is often pointed out how eloquently he chooses his words. He also has a northern British accent…!!!
