Saur

It is believed that when the first sun died, and the first White Dwarf came to be, Saur's kin where born onto its' shell. And as the light faded, and its' heat slowly extinguished, the pale beasts were thought to absorb the life essence of the star itself, completing its' transformation into the Universes first Black Dwarf

Pale, skin like white obsidian, and found only on Black dwarfs. Not much is really known about Saur and his kin outside of the obvious fact that they are extremely resilient to the harsh environment of space.
