About:

Cassidy Fletcher is a MOTW pc that uses The Expert playbook. They are a protector and seek to use their skills to help others thrive. 

Cassidy has ADHD, but keeps it masked around most people. She has a special interest in animal care, and got an online college degree in the subject. They assist at the island's vet clinic, and owns a Maremma Sheepdog named Eudaemonia and fosters cats. 

She is impulsive, considerate, quick-witted, loyal, but can often be passive as she can find herself getting overwhelmed at the responsibilities. She is able to learn to love individuals even after they have harmed her, although she is slow to form new relationships.

Cassidy does not have magic abilities, unlike their friends, because they do not see themself fit to handle the responsibility. Instead, she uses her combat training to protect her friends to allow them to use their abilities. 

Cassidy works many jobs and hobbies to occupy her time, such as an town events worker, assistant to their landlord, and Vet Assistant.

Appearance

Cassidy comes in at 5'10. Their build is on the slender side, but wouldn't quite be considered athletic yet. They have darker skin with a red undertone and blue eyes. There is a scar on her lip from Eddie, and a scar across her right palm. She has many piercings on her ears, and a septum piercing. 

Cassidy has many tattoos: A red snake on her right arm, a daisy and a dog paw on her upper thigh, a moth, a sun, a moon and a chess queen on the back of her calves, and a moth and a dagger on her chest. 

She has dark brown 3B hair that she ofter wears in twists for convenience. 

She was gifted a suit of armour that she frequently wears under a sweater. 

Relationships

Keirnan

Keirnan is Cass's significant other. They ran away from their life on the mainland, where their parents were pressuring xir to become a mortician. They took a job as a baker, and spend a lot of time pursuing xir interest in cryptids, which led it to the island in the first place. Keirnan serves Titania, the ruler of the Seely court.

A

A is Keirnan's other boyfriend, and a private investigator by trade. Cassidy previously worked with A while with the Lancers. A's body is the host of a water demon nicknamed "The Other One", who is as equally funny as he is problematic. 

Domani

Domani is a newer arrival to the team. They serve Oberon, the ruler of the Unseely court. For a time, Domani joined the villain's side, driven by anger and fear, but was quickly accepted back into the friend group after coming to eir senses. 

Vendrian

A 200 year old glass babymanchild. He was in love with the original owner of cass's armour. Cassidy briefly saw him as a parental figure before he ditched them.

Fer De Lance 

Fer De Lance is the king of the Submaterial. He was previously the illusive leader of The Lancers, unknown by everybody that he was possessed by an evil ocean deity named Bermuda. He is the last Basilisk, however he also has a human form. He is serious and professional, but will open up to his friends. He is in a relationship with Luna, leader of the Moth Court. 

Backstory

Cassidy Fletcher had a turbulent start to life. Born to an unfit mother, she was given up at birth. They bounced between foster homes and youth care facilities and never felt settled. She was labeled as difficult, as the stress and trauma from constant change combined with ADHD made it difficult for her to properly express herself. After a failed adoption when they were 14, they applied for emancipation and eventually became independent at 16, after running away from their last foster home. After a having difficulties in high school and running with some people who were bad influences, she ran away to join an carjacking gang called The Lancers and changed her name to Mirabell. She found a home with this group and found a knack for repairing cars. They worked their way up but never got too high. Eventually, people started to go missing. Not only this, but things shifted in the Lancers. She no longer felt safe and needed out. But she knew you couldn't just leave the lancers. The final straw came when she learned that the head, the elusive Fer De Lance, was in possession of an ill Merriama Sheepdog named Daisy. She made a plan to leave, meticulously pouring over every detail and mapping ever route, but when the time came it was nearly spoiled by a new and unexpected operative. In order for this plan to go smoothly, Cassidy Fletcher, 22, had to kill him. Just barely making it out, and taking Daisy along with her, she started a trip across USA with no plan but to get as far away from California as the cash in her pocket allowed. The next few days, she nursed the ill dog to the best of her abilities, and renamed her "Eudaemonia", or Eddie for short. She landed with a friend of a friend in Kentucky, who told Cass about the apartment his mom, Camille, was renting out on an Island called "New Vendrian". With the little money Cass had left, they made their way to the island, spending their last cash on the ferry and finding Camille. She agreed to let Cassidy stay for a discounted price in exchange for landscaping and living assistance. Cass befriended the town vet, who helped Cass nurse Eddie back to health, in exchange for free assistance. Cassidy also found a job with the town and worked at the farmers market and town events. She filled her time with activities such as repairing an old motorcycle to keep her mind busy and to give herself some time to breathe. She struggled with mental health in the first few months and had difficulty taking care of themself, but Camille and Eddie helped her get through. 

Present Day

Cassidy is a defender of The Submaterial, a magic plane connected to the earth. They work with Keirnan and A to protect it from threats. (More storyline info coming soon)

Trivia

In game, Cassidy's original playbook was "The Crooked", but after the second arc it was changed to "The Expert"

Her dog's name, Eudaemonia, means "guardian spirit" 

Cass's main weapons are a cold iron sword, magic daggers and a hand gun

Cassidy partakes in many hand crafts, including making dog leashes out of rope, which they sell at the farmers market

A knows more about Cassidy than Cassidy know about themself 

Cass is obsessed with Joan Of Arc, despite catholosism not being canon in our game
