elune prefers to keep herself separate from most duties, likely a remnant from her days as a noble. however, that doesn’t mean she’s totally clueless – elune is highly observant, and it’s unlikely for her to let things slip past her without at least taking mental note of it. a strategist at heart and a thorough problem-solver, elune will ensure she and her peers achieve what they need to in a timely manner.
some might say she's cold thanks to her reserved nature, but once someone slips that initial prickly exterior, elune carries with her a wealth of knowledge only someone hailing from beyond would know of. this doesn’t come easy; she’s highly guarded, and tries not to give out more than she needs to. she’s picky with her words and will say what she needs to draw out valuable information that will aid her or crumble her opponents.

story
elune was once a member of khaenri'ah's royal court, a potential heir to the dynasty’s throne. life was easy when everything was figured out for her and she seldom spent time dwelling on menial duties most commoners did.
the fairytale, however, soon came to an abrupt end when the gods above deemed khaenri’ah an enemy of the divine. the nation was struck down, with many lives lost to history and bound to a seemingly unbreakable curse. a majority of those of the royal court didn’t suffer that same fate – with their mastery over the art of khemia, they were able to utilize the networks within the abyss to tuck themselves into temporary safety. elune was the lone survivor of her immediate family, having been shoved deep into the abyss by her mother, which turned out to be the sole reason she was able to reemerge centuries later.
as the cataclysm raged on, time seemed to slow while nestled beneath. what felt like days turned out to be several centuries spent alongside only one other, and as she reemerged from the depths, she found herself in present-day teyvat.
her only companion left her beneath the statue of the seven. she was instructed to uncover the truth behind celestia’s true identity and help bring back the nation’s former glory. it was then that she secretly assumed the role of a khaenri’ahn agent, coupling this with integrating herself into the knights of favonius’s ranks.
vision
in the past, elune was able to use her abilities with no need for a vision. she was taught to weave in her prowess for magic with the swiftness of her sword. it’s unclear when elune received hers, but it is likely she procured the ornament to easily fit into society and avoid any questioning of her methods. after all, khaenri’ah was a godless nation, and their eyes never fell on her homeland.
