T O F U "This is a WIP" - | - | - Tofu is a wandering traveller who specializes in fungi both magical and mundane. She uses them to heal and devastate equally, with a mix of medicinal mushroom caps and fast-spreading viruses always hidden away in her scarf. Her interest in them stems from the parasitic fungi that infests her own body, slowly draining her energy. Recently, she’s been following a lead that promises a cure to her ailment- a strain of magically empowered mushrooms hidden deep in the Scarred Wastelands. When Tofu was just a little hatchling, she was fated to die. She was born with an illness that threatened her life. It took the efforts of trained magisters and medicine men to keep her alive, and even then it took a price- her scales. She became a scaleless dragon, only covered in fleshy pink skin. A dragon’s scales serve as a persistent form of protection against the elements- which left Tofu much more vulnerable than her kin. She was victim to countless cuts and bruises that would’ve left barely a hint against the scales of a dragon. She tried her best to avoid injury, but it was always a difficult affair. However, her greatest trial came when she came face to face with the straw belly mushroom. As far as she knows, Tofu is the only dragon to have ever encountered the straw belly mushroom. She’s the one who named it, in fact. From what she remembers, it was bright yellow, almost neon, and had fungi petals spread out like the wings of a dragon. In her childhood curiosity, she decided to poke around and investigate this strange new mushroom she found. The next day, she was covered from snout to tail in yellow pockmarks that she couldn’t stop scratching. At some point, the pain got to be too much, and she left to find a cure. She’s found ways to put the symptoms of her illness at bay, but she’s yet to find a cure. Tofu makes herself sparse around the Old Tree. She leaves for weeks at a time, and sometimes only stays for a day in-between her travels. While she’s there, she stays in a small shack close to the tree. She houses her fungi there, and usually sleeps in a cot 3/4 of her size. She rarely speaks with the other dragons there, and usually only does so when she needs something from them. She isn’t rude, per se, but her closed-off nature combined with the urgency of her task makes her less than willing to idly chat with others. Tofu nests her pearl within a baby blue scarf, something she gained early along in her travels. She also nests small packets of fungi in her scarf that hold various properties. Tied along her wings is a small drum of pungent fungi that keep her spry, even as she’s slowly corrupted by her fungi passengers. Alongside her lack of scales, Tofu also has heterochromia, which manifests in her having one yellow and one purple eye.

Lore: Lost her scales due to an illness or was born without, thus her skin is frail and easily catches skin irritations, fungi and similar that would usually not hurt a dragon. Has heterochromia and thus two different eye colors. The shiny spots on her body are a fungus that already nested itself into her skin and so far wasn't curable.
She uses her scarf to carry her pearl on her body most times. Often under her wings or on her back.
