Ragna is relatively confident in her own abilities and does what she can to instill confidence in others. She is easily the most humble and easy to get along with out of all the Eyavin siblings and goes out of her way not to make enemies if she can. She strives to live up to her family's great name and honor her ancestral traditions, but she tends to be her own worst critic when she's faced with failure.

When she was young she dreamed of being a skald, and while she lacks the dexterity to play instruments well, she keeps up her singing with shanties, folk songs, and epic poetry. She loves music and performance art, so when visiting a new place her first tops are usually a theatre or a tavern with live music.

B A C K S T O R Y

Ragna is the youngest of her six siblings, and the furthest apart in age compared to the rest. With the closest in age being two rambunctious twins and an aloof middle sibling, Ragna didn't find much commonality in her like-aged siblings and instead clung to the eldest; Vysera and Kyris. The two were often saddled with babysitting the rest when their parents were away, and Ragna admired their positive attitude and energy all through her childhood.

From the very beginning Ragna was shy and had a tender heart — more tender than was necessary, according to some. She constantly brought home injured or lost animals, cried frequently when teased or criticized, and generally felt all her emotions very deeply.

Ragna was 15 when the Giant crisis hit the Sword Coast. She knew just enough to be frightened of the mainland and when she got word that Vysera was trying to mitigate the giants' war games, she feared immensely for her sister. She felt incredibly helpless, since she couldn't even sail to deliver supplies to her on her own, let alone fight alongside her. It was at this time she began training with an axe and shield. Her destiny to hold the Oath of Glory was cemented, aiming to follow in the footsteps of the many poetic heroes and relatives she had grown up on.

Even after the dust began to settle after the giant conflict, Ragna kept honing her skill. By this time she had acquired an albino elk named Vaka as a steed; one she rescued as a calf from drowning when it fell off an icy sea cliff.

Ragna's first big venture came when she overheard that Hvalur Cove, a fishing village she frequented, was being overrun with aquatic trolls. She mustered as many warriors as she could from her own town to come with her and slay them. They sailed through winter sea storms to the village and confronted the trolls in a frozen cave, with Ragna astride Vaka. Despite her extreme anxiety over the endeavor, Ragna led the charge into the troll's lair. Her place atop Vaka allowed her to decapitate one troll, but the second one laid a lethal blow to the elk and Vaka did not survive his wounds. He was the only casualty of the battle, but Ragna still felt his loss deeply.

With the aquatic trolls dead, their heads were taken to Hvalus Cove to give proof that they had been slain. Ragna was given the honors of presenting them to the village elder. With the death of her beloved steed the victory was somewhat bittersweet, but with the town heralding her a hero she did her best to act like one.
