Q has an extraordinarily complex personality but can generally be described as energetic, uncanny, childish and air-headed. He struggles recognizing his own sense of self and typically denies himself as sentient (even though he very clearly is, it's just a trauma induced self protective delusion he hasn't let go of). Because of this, he is extremely submissive and easily taken advantage of mentally. He is shockingly gullible and has an extremely malleable mental state. Of course not everyone in his life wishes to take advantage of this, and when he's around those people he can easily be described as playful if not strange. He deeply desires belonging and safety, and tries his hardest to seek it, sometimes in ways that are misguided.
Q has a very disorganized brain, and this clearly manifests in almost all of his behaviors, whether extremely subtle or pretty major. Such examples can be his speech, motives, and generally how he rationalizes things. He can make what seem like confusing decisions to others, but remains confident as they make sense to himself. Due to this, a lot of people struggle keeping up with him or relating to him, and has ultimately resulted to Q being used to social isolation. His reality is different than everyone else's, so whilst he confuses everyone around him, HE is confused why everyone and the world works the way it does. Q is to some degree aware that he is very much not like people around him. He can't exactly diagnose why, but he is often left confused why the world around him seems faster, happier, and just on a different plane than him. He says it feels like an inside joke that everyone but him is apart of.
He has an irrational fear of what he deems anything gross, which also impacts his ability to maintain connections with people. Suffering from a childhood where he never, ever felt clean, these experiences mutated into a strong disdain and extreme fear to anything...gross (this can vary though, due to the irrationality, there are things he's fine with, and then things that send him over the edge). He doesn't realize the source of this fear, though, and simply justifies his fears as if what he's scared of is a threat because it's gross. Not anything else.
He has trouble expressing his emotions and usually reacts very visibly and strongly to whatever emotional stimulus, whether it be positive or negative. tw self harm for this next part> though he struggles mostly with maintaining his reaction to negative stimulus. If he is overwhelmed enough, he usually, unfortunately, ends up taking it out on himself- since he simply doesn't know what else to do. Again, this is a means of comfort seeking to him, even though it really makes things worse. < tw over
crytype ramblings aside, in casual settings, (with all of his strangeness considered) he is open to talking to new people and having fun.. He is truly trying his best and has some broken as-semblance of goodness left in his heart He is just a boything,,
trivia
- he really enjoys physical activity! His body is long and agile, and because of this he likes doing parkour and parkour-adjacent activities
- he really likes dolls. He lives a rather minimalist life so he does not collect them, but, he has one doll named Darcy who he is absolutely beyond attached to on every level. He is very protective over her
- when he sees someone new that he is interested in, he can be kind of an annoying pest. (approaching them and then running off, poking them, and openly staring)
- he really likes vintage movies. They are the one thing he does actually collect. He will watch pretty much anything
- he has trouble feeding himself, but he loves ramen a lot. It is his favorite food and is a near-daily go-to
- his voice is very androgynous. You can't quite call it feminine, but not masculine either. It's actually quite confusing to listen to!
