[TH AU]: "De fact dat oi allow meself ter git dragged outside, in de rain an' de mud. Ter root for bugs an' 'ermit crabs says enoof."
Maribelle feels some drive to care for Roswell as he has for her, whether it be fixing patches in his clothes or cooking meals for him. It is still debatable how much she respects him, but certainly it's enough to follow him -- even if it's to the cold countryside. In turn, all she wants is a bit of enthusiasm... or at least to be able to drag him around as a companion in her explorations.
[TH AU]: "'He's a gran' sprog. Sharp witted an' his 'orse is a queck one too. Oi treasure de steppe jewelry he gave me..... Don't tell him dat."
[non-canon] "...He lets on the crowd to his thuggery. I know him better a kindred, quick-wit, and quicker to either a false tongue or seconds ahead a coward's run..."
[TH AU]: "Hah though luck kid!" He barked out cocky laughter, please wipe that smug smile of his face
TH AU - Enemies. Arkine hopes to defeat Ros one day and bring the cro to justice!
[TH AU]: Even though Roswell has a small raisin sized heart, that doesn't mean he doesn't look out for his fellow thieves.....One thief in particular. Void, he even gave him a lucky trinket. Is he finally getting old and sentimental? who knows..Some honor among thieves after all it seems.
[AU] A fellow thief? An OLDER thief? Cupid himself must be following Jackson around, because he's sure he's found The One. Every chance he gets he'll try to be around Roswell, even taking his kids(?) under his wing as his own.
[TH AU] *pockets his jewelry pockets his jewelry* , stealing aside-
En is one of the few people who can stomach Roswell's endless fountain of words and he appropriates that! A lot! He'd defend the Loser's king's name with his kram if he has too.
[AU] Who would have thought that a man that nearly talked his ear off while he was dying would end up becoming such a good friend? Many people have warned the king about Roswell-- even his own daughter! But he's adamant that Roswell's not as bad as they say. He's got his soft spots, and he's smart and has great taste! No matter what, En considers him a great friend. Maybe even... best friend?!
[TH AU] Oh those poor critters.. Roswell was a cat-person after all, who knew.

[TH AU]: "Oi'm jist borrowin' it big man, naw nade ter make such big fuzz aboyt it," he said with his hands disarmingly raised.
"How much more do you plan on 'borrowing' little man? Petty thieves like yourself aren't welcome here... Now get lost, and don't let me see your face around here again."
Roswell may have a heart. A small radish sized blackened thing that could be called that. Or at least, that's what Roswell tells himself. As he looks out for the young shifter. Wraith can beat him fair and square in any type of combat but... Someone needs to learn this kid how to wash his own clothes right? What spoon you use for desserts and stuff? Those.. Are survival essentials too.

[Th au] "aye kid oi'm yer /cóól/ uncle" he was not.
(Crunchy Th au) "He's like a second uncle, just with an eyepatch, like me!"
Even though he would not admit it, he /tries/ to look out for. Even if he's the reason why she gets in trouble.
Her involvement is illegal activities has only increased the more time she’s spent around the old thief. She’s not particularly fond of Roswell’s affinity for stealing and involving her as payment for her unpaid debts, but she does seem fond of the old man himself and is grateful to the assistance he has provided to her. Illanya seems to believe he has a good heart, or at least enough of a conscience to not be a horrible person. It remains to be seen if her trusting this man will come back to bite her.
Haru's practices reminded Roswell of someone. And while the thief pretends he doesn't have a heart, he surely has one. Sometimes doing the 'good thing' and help a fellow out, is just as rewarding as a good sack of money... Right? Anyway, Haru has scraped him from the pavement more times than Roswell dares to admit.
“I know a good heart when I see it, and the old thief is certainly one.”
Or so Haru thinks. Of course, he was spooked at first when Roswell came into his life out of nowhere and bearing his secret, but if Roswell is truly after the bounty on his head, then why haven’t he sold Haru to the authorities yet? In a world as corrupted as the one he lives in, the barista knows that not all hero wears capes, and Roswell is one such hero.
Roswell wasn't even really sure why he's helped Isolde. Maybe because of their mutual respect? Their foul musical duet? Maybe because he didn't know the exact sum on her head yet.
"Roswell is a prime example that one should not judge another by the latter's appearance; he has shown me more kindness than my brother as a stranger."
Isolde quite likes Roswell and believes him to be a good man, for why else would the old thief risk his own life to hide her from the Director's ire? It helps that the music they made together were also... interesting, to say the least. Isolde's not sure if she wants to play a duet with Roswell ever again after that though.
