Personality

  • Affectionate
  • Selfless
  • Respectful
  • Responsible
  • Fiercely Loyal
  • Rule Follower
  • Dedicated
  • Natural Leader

Doted upon like a princess but raised to espouse the virtues of a knight, Capellashine was both cherished and taught to respect from an early age. Growing up, she completely encapsulated the ideals of her parents. Being two high-ranks, Capellakit observed the way both of her parents served the clan to the best of their abilities. She learned from an early age the responsibilities that came with such a large title, and came to appreciate everything they did for the clan. She knew that their positions as high-ranks was not something that was handed to them, but was something they worked for. Similarly, even cats without the title of high-rank had something to offer, so Capellashine always puts extra effort into showing all cats the respect that they deserve. Everyone has a part to play. There are multiple duties that everyone in the clan needs to complete in order for the clan to run smoothly. With a missing gear, the entire machine would fall apart. As a warrior, Capellashine completed her duties with the utmost care. Now, as a Lead Mentor, Capellashine is even more determined to serve her clan to the best of her ability.

Badgerclan and her family mean everything to Capellashine. Their safety and well-being are more important than her own life. Badgerclan is her home, the clan that her parents served and that she now serves with all her heart. The dedication she feels towards those she is loyal to, can only be compared to a burning flame, a raging hot fire, that cannot be put out by anything. She would not give up her clan or family for anything, and will fight for them until her last breath. Similarly, when she puts her mind to something, there's nothing and no one who can stop her. Her parents taught her to be confident and stand for what's right, so getting her to back down will be a difficult challenge. If this were to lead to arguments, Capellashine can and will stand her ground. She only starts fights she knows she can win, there is no other choice, or her beliefs are challenged. When Capellashine begins a task, you can rest assured that it will be finished. Her determination is fierce and something not many other cats can compete against.

Besides all of her personality traits that might make her seem like a stuck-up molly, Capellashine is actually a very affectionate and selfless molly. Even as a young kit, Capellashine was a very affectionate molly. With the practically undivided attention from her parents, she was able to cuddle and snuggle whenever she desired, and as such, this trait of hers was only reinforced. With cats she considers clanmates or friends, she offers slow blinks, affirmative nods, and gentle smiles. Her affection towards cats she’s more familiar with is a little more extreme. She expresses her love with physical affection such as head bumps, nuzzles, grooming, and other such acts. Regardless of how close she is to another cat, she has a high desire to do what is best for others by helping them in any way she can. She will put another cat's needs before her own without a second thought. Helping others is a driving force of hers, and has always been something she enjoys doing. Simply seeing others happy fills her with joy. She assists others not only for their well-being, but for herself and the benefit of everyone. Helping others has always left her with a sense of accomplishment.

For better or for worse, Capellashine is a molly that will abide by the rules in their entirety. While she does have her own will, she holds the rules authority over her own opinions. It is very rare that she will go against a rule stated in the warrior code or stated by the Leader of her clan, as the clan leader's word is law. She believes and lives by everything stated in the warrior code, and will not turn her back to it. All of these traits, combined with the watchful eyes that were always trained on her parents, makes Capellashine a Natural Leader. She knows how to focus on developing herself and the community, and is always encouraging towards others. She knows how to be open minded, but when it comes down to a final decision, Capellashine will not waver. She knows to not back down no matter what.

Strengths

  • Endurance
  • Strength
  • Climbing
  • Agility
  • Morals

Weaknesses

  • Restless
  • Stealth
  • Speed
  • Pain Tolerance
  • Observation

Capellashine has a naturally limber and athletically built body, this leads to her having a great endurance level. When completing difficult or straining tasks and activities, she is able to push herself past the point others would be unable to reach. She can go for long periods of time without a break, so it's rare to see her run out of breath. Whether she's running through the forest or building a nest in the clan camp, she doesn't stop for anything. In addition to her endurance, her strength is another trait that her athletic build provides. Combining her endurance with her strength and size gives her a powerful edge when on the battlefield or out in the forest. Capellashine's strong hind legs make it easy for her to sprint through the territory, jump tremendous lengths and height, and climb without effort. While battles are not how she would prefer to settle a disagreement, she will not be on the losing side.

Agility and climbing are another one of Capellashine's friends, as she can maneuver from one place to another as easily as breathing. It's never been a challenge for her. Just like her mother, Mistle, the trees are a second home for the she-cat. Navigating through the branches is practically easier than navigating the forest floor. Moving up trees and cliff sides is a breeze. Her body was built for climbing, and after moons of practice, she can climb up or down any obstacle without thought. The cliff sides surrounding Badgerclan’s camp can be daunting to others, but she is able to scale them without the help of the worn paths used by cats without a strong climbing ability. She trusts her paws to know exactly where to go, and how to get her to her desired location. Her bulkier build means she’s not as flexible as others, but she still has a very strong understanding of her body, and can direct its movements in her desired way. Sharp turns and quick maneuvers, her movements can leave many cats in awe. Her agility allows her to reach her maximum speed quickly and perform advanced battle movements other cats would need to train moons for.

When it comes to mentality, Capellashine has extremely good morals. Almost every action she takes is directed by her ideals, and it’s extremely rare that her actions would contradict them. Her morals are what shape her, and were dear lessons taught to her by her parents. She will do what’s best, and fight for what is right.

Capellashine is a restless molly, and combined with her endurance, means she's constantly on the move. She is a ball of energy, and if not put to use that energy can explode. It’s rare to see Capellashine doing nothing in camp, as her restlessness pushes her to find and complete more tasks. Even when she is doing a task, it's hard for her to sit still. This makes her ability to be stealthy very difficult. Staying still for a long period of time, or moving without sound, is nearly impossible for Capellashine. Her tail just won't stop flicking, and her paws just can't seem to stay still. Staying silent is hard when you can't seem to stay still, so hopefully there never comes a day when she needs to hide from someone.

Capellashine has a large and bulky body, similar to her father, Doeblaze, which is built for strength and agility. This results in her struggling with her speed. Her body is not built to maintain high speeds for long periods of time, and can only manage short bursts of extremely fast movement. She isn't very useful against opponents that require her to run after them, which makes her more suited for battles over chases. However, that doesn’t mean she excels at fighting. Capellashine has an extremely low pain tolerance. Despite her large body, pain just seems more intense to her, and it's harder for her to ignore her injuries than it is for others. It is definitely something that can be weaponized in battle, as an injured foe is easier to defeat. Because of this, this tortoiseshell has a tendency to hide her pain.

Mentally, Capellashine is not the most observant cat. She struggles to pick up on small context clues that might be more obvious to others, and she’s not always up to date on recent events because of how often she is out working. She wants to do what’s best for everyone, but sometimes she trips up because of her inability to understand everything that is going on around her. She’s able to read body language and pick up on vocal tones, but sometimes she’s unable to spot the more subtle indications from a cat because she didn’t spend enough time looking. Her inability to follow the lives of all her clanmates because of all her duties can leave her in the dark as to what is needed from her, and may cause unintentional discourse as a result.

Standing at a height of 13 inches is the first-born daughter of Mistle and Doeblaze, Capellashine. Medium-length, seal sepia tortoiseshell ticked tabby fur with large white-spotting patches decorating her large, athletic physique. This mixture of both of her parent's coats makes her effortlessly stand out in the sea of cats residing in Badgerclan. But it doesn't just end in the coat color she inherited from her mother and father. One of the first things that stands out upon seeing Capellashine is her big, oval blue-green eyes and round face shape she inherited from her mother. These two traits embellish her delicate multicolored facial features and compliment the small, loosely folded ears and large, plumy tail inherited from her father. Paired with her muscular legs and limber frame, these traits make Capellashine well adapted to the woodland terrain she grew, trained, and lived in her whole life. However, she isn’t untouched by the cruelties of life. Battles against enemies have left her with scars that will never fade from her pelt. Three claw lines run diagonally along her upper left shoulder, and four thin yet long claw marks mar her right flank.

History

Capellakit was born to two-star loving cats during a storm in the late hours on a day in early Leaffall. On that day, her father remembered a star that shimmered in all its vivid colors, white, red, and green, that both he and Mistlestorm had seen while stargazing. Her parents, inspired by such a phenomenon they had witnessed in the past, bestow the prefix Capella onto their first-born and only child of the litter. Her days in the nursery could only be described as idyllic. Though born in times of disaster with the beginning of a moon-long rain and impending plague, her clanmates, highly ranked parents, and the warrior code rigorously shielded her from the trauma. Even as danger rattled the walls of her sanctuary, those peaceful kithood days ensued, filled with nights of cuddling alongside her parents. But most importantly, her mother and father passed down the ways of how to lead, to have the confidence to stand for what's right, to always be truthful about her emotions, and finally, to never take for granted what her parent's high ranking does for her.

Her apprenticeship began a very strenuous period of time in Capellapaw’s life. The unending rain brought floods, prey shortage, and disaster to the coastal territories. It wasn’t even a moon into her apprenticeship that Doeblaze brought together the clan for a murder trial. At the time, Raggedstar had been too shaken to conduct the meeting, and so her father, and deputy, Doeblaze had taken over. Even as a young apprentice, Capellapaw had to take part in the verdict to exile Mourningmoth or Dunedrifter. Once Dunedrifter had come forward and admitted to the crime of murder, it didn’t take long for the tom to be exiled. The entire event was a cold shock to the previously sheltered kit.

She was assigned to Bearcry as her mentor, and the one-eyed warrior would teach her much differently from her parents. Where they were affectionate and supportive, Bearcry was cold and demanding. However, not once did Capellapaw back down from his training. He taught her discipline and removed the rose-tinted glasses from her eyes. While Capellashine would always remain optimistic, her mentor taught her that life wasn’t always kind. He prepared her to always be ready, as an attack from the Bay of Thieves was always a possibility. And while the Bay would never attack Badgerclan again, these lessons would serve her well with the impending creation of The Legion.

Her apprenticeship troubles didn’t end there, as the rain continued pouring. A prophecy regarding the cure was revealed at the gathering, and Capellapaw would join a group of other cats to share information between all the clans. Hopefully, that way, the plague would end sooner. More cats were getting sick, and it was only shortly after the gathering that the plague began taking cats' lives. Amidst all this, Capellapaw did experience one joyful thing. Her first sunrise. The first time Capellapaw would ever see the sun would be during the tail end of her apprenticeship. That morning, both her father and mother would climb up into the apprentice den and watch the sunrise with her together. Both Capellapaw and Mistlestorm would be riddled with illness, but it was a happy family member regardless.

Capellashine would receive her warrior name at the age of 12 moons. Her ceremony took place after a failed patrol to find the cure. Despite the rain and the dejected nature of many of the warriors, there was still something to celebrate. Despite the cold nature of her mentor, Beacry (who would soon be announced as the second Lead Mentor) gave Capellashine a curt nod. Considering his unfriendly and unaffectionate nature, it was the best gift her mentor could have given her. Doestar, after the ceremony, had given Capellashine a personal congratulations. It had given Capellashine such a wide smile to know that she had received her warrior name from the newly appointed leader, her father, and was filled with joy at his praise.

Her first task as a warrior would be something cats would remember for ages to come. Despite the majority of the clans being sick and exhausted, Capellashine had once again volunteered to join a cure patrol. Only this time, they succeeded. The patrol had gone into the cave and emerged out of the sea with the herbal flower in tow. Capellashine, who had stayed to guard, had been there to help the exhausted cats back to camp. Afterwards, the sickness left the territories and the rain dispersed. For the first time, Capellashine would see a cloudless day and an unobstructed sun. For many moons afterwards, she would enjoy the new peace with her family and new friend Lunarblitz. Rainbow gazing, leaf piles, and calm patrols filled her days.

Sadly, all things must come to an end. With the beginning of Leafbare, the Legion attacked Badgerclan in an attempt to destroy their herb piles. Capellashine fought Genesis Awakening alongside Lunarblitz, and the two managed to defeat the rogue. It was only due to the interference of Sanctuary of Hope that Capellashine did not land the final blow. The princess had stood over the unconscious rogue and traded words with Capellashine. The warrior was not a killer, and agreed to mercy if the Legion *left.* However, the fight didn’t end there. After a quick glance at the battlefield, Capellashine’s gaze would land on her fathers dead figure. She would scream, cry, apologize and weep over his body. The few moments before Doestar was forcefully resurrected felt like eternity as Capellashine mourned the loss of her father. It was the most painful thing Capellashine had ever experienced. Fortunately, she was luckier than most. She did not lose her father that night.

With absolutely no time to recover, Badgerclan was hit with another catastrophe. A being calling himself “NYN”, later to be identified as Neo, appeared at the gathering and froze over the mossy hollow. The following day, Capellashine accompanied her father and a patrol of other Badgerclan warriors to meet Neo. The clans agreed to house Neo in their separate clans over the coming moons. Exhausted, Capellashine went back to camp to hopefully get some much needed rest. The Legion Raid had left her with three claw marks on her shoulder, but another had suffered worse. Shamrockkit had huddled in the far back of the nursery, scared and refusing to come out. It had been Capellashine who coaxed her out and laid with her. The kit had witnessed the death of her mother and become an orphan. The kit would later grow very close to her aunt and other kin, but Capellashine was there to comfort her after the Raid. Later, the warrior would leave Shamrockkit to rest in the warriors den, and there she and Lunarblitz would comfort each other after seeing each other's injuries.

Shortly after, Shamrockpaw would be assigned to her. Capellashine was still a young warrior, but trusted enough to be the munchkin's mentor. During the same meeting, Fawnfreckle would reveal that her kits were stolen. Capellashine would take Shamrockpaw out the same day for her first apprentice assignment- a tour of the territory as well as a search for anything regarding the kits. The trek through the thick snow had revealed nothing, but they had grown closer. Life isn’t always work and pain, however. While Capellashine was busy teaching Shamrockpaw everything Bearcry had taught her, albeit in a slightly gentler format, she had also spent time with her parents. One particular dusk, they had all made the time to go out on the beach together, and there, they had a fun competition and simply enjoyed each other's company. After moons of training, Shamrockwillow was given her warrior name. Capellashine could not have been prouder of the apprentice who she had begun to see as a younger sister. The munchkin’s judgment was still clouded with the events of her kithood, but Capellashine knew Shamrockwillow would eventually find her way.

As if Neo wasn’t enough, the Chaos Demon made an appearance and caused, well, chaos. Using Echofright, the Demon entity sliced a rift in the sky and all the seven realms of spirits were released into the world of the living. The gathering was called off, but Capellashine couldn’t help but keep her lingering gaze on the spirits. She had never seen them before, but some part of her felt like she *recognized* them. At the time, and throughout the entirety of her current life, she would never know why. However, the reason would be revealed after her death. Seeing all the spirits upon the living realm had scratched a sealed part of Capellashine’s memory, but nothing would break free. She left the mossy hollow just as confused and concerned for the future as everyone else was. Over the next few moons, it would be an adjustment learning to live with the dead. For the most part, the spirits removed themselves and stayed near the star tree, but living cats with dead relatives struggled with the change. Capellashine didn’t have anyone she was close to who was in the afterlife, so she only needed to adapt to the strange occurrences happening to other cat’s figures and outbreak of strange new abilities. Otherwise, she spent lots of time with her family. She went bug hunting for the first time with both parents, and also built the Lavender Bluff with Doestar and Fawnfreckle.

Then, Calamity struck. The end of world time loop hit some cats very hard, and Capellashine did her best to persevere. For the most part, she handled it well. Fear was not something she allowed to work its way into her heart that easily. However, who wouldn’t cower when entities more powerful than anyone could imagine were fighting over something you had no control over. At the gathering, Capellashine had run into and taken comfort with her old family-friend Cecropiabite, a tom she had last seen as a kit. However, their reunion was bitter sweet as the court entities raged. Then, through the chaos of demands and screams, everything became painful. The sky rained blood, the grass froze their paws, the very air was on fire, figures morphed, time *broke* and it was all too painful for Capellashine with her low pain tolerance. While others screamed for the life of the two kit saviors, Capellashine just pleaded for it to be over. It was a shameful moment of weakness, but she hadn’t cared. She just wanted the pain to *stop.* Then, NYN appeared, and effortlessly set everything back to the way it should be. They apologized, and then left. It was surreal, how quickly the entire thing was over. The moons of chaos had ended, just like that

Time continued to flow, but it seemed that some cats did not want a reprieve from turmoil. Only two moons after life returned to normal in the coastal territories, the Legion once again attacked Badgerclan. This time, Capellashine would face Temptations of Fate in battle. Unfortunately, her pain tolerance would push her to the losing side of the battle, but her attacker would spare her life in order to save their own ally. Amidst the battle, her father, Doestar, would suffer a near-fatal blow. In order to save his life, Mistlestorm would drag her mate’s body away and towards the two-leg city where they could give him treatment only they were capable of. Neither her father nor mother would inform anyone of this decision- and the Leader and Lead Mentor would disappear from the clan for moons without a word. Fawnfreckle eventually became Monarchstar, and placed the entire clan under isolation because of her fears. At the same time, despite her parents' disappearance, Monarchstar would assign Cicadapaw to her. Cicadapaw had already completed most of her apprenticeship, but Capellashine had been honored to be there for the remaining time before she became Cicadarhythm.

After a few moons without any deputy or lead mentors, Monarchstar called a meeting and announced her decision to make Capellashine a Lead Mentor alongside the young Cicadarhythm, and declared Shamrockwillow the new Deputy. The news was a shock, but Capellashine agreed to her new position with determination and pride. She had managed to follow her mothers footsteps and become a high-rank to serve her clan like both parents before her. Sadly, her two guardians were not there to witness her promotion, but she was able to celebrate with the entire clan. A moon later, Capellashine broke. Without her parents around, and not knowing what had become of them for half a year, she secluded herself in the tide-pool cave and cried. She didn’t know how long she cried, but the sun was rising when she finally made it back to camp after pulling herself together. Later that same moon, she bumped into her mother during a chance encounter. Their reunion was heartfelt, and Mistle was able to soothe all of Capellashine’s worries. The medium tortoiseshell congratulated her daughter on her promotion to lead mentor, and they spent the rest of the day catching up.

The next few moons were ones of tension and confusion. Just when Monarchstar lifted the isolation on Badgerclan, Duskstar announced the creation of Wolfclan, and a multitude of cats from every clan and group left to follow the tom. Then, a clan meeting occurred where Crestfallenbranch called out Monarchstar’s negligence because of her injured kit, leading to the Bengal leader announcing that Doestar abandoned his clan. Capellashine defended her father, and it led to Monarchstar punishing her with a half-moon confinement to camp and an order to have all of her duties be authorized under her direct approval. The tension between Monarchstar and the clan grew, and Capellashine could only hope to remove it before anything worse happened.
