Description: Shining Sailor Rainbow Pyrite Jellyfish is rather tall with a build lean and a tax complexion. Her eyes are orange, and she has long, wavy black hair with tips of pink, orange, and yellow. She wears the standard Crystal Animamates fuku. Her bodice is white and sleeveless with an underbust golden yellow and magnate with belt gem. Her front bow is orange with her oval brooch gem. Her skirt is orange with a trim of golden yellow and magnate. Her collar is solid orange with an orange choker with a golden yellow and magnate gem. Affects vary depending on "level" of opponent and Shining Sailor Rainbow Pyrite Jellyfish's concentration.
Defensive: "Rainbow Reflection!" – Shining Sailor Rainbow Pyrite Jellyfish holds her hands to either side of her body and she brings her hands together. Her hands are clapped for a moment before she quickly pulls them apart, with the palms facing her opponent. A rainbow forms between her two hands and grows into a shield that can reflect an opponent's attack at them.

Civilian History
Lani was the second eldest of six children – and the oldest girl. Growing up, she was close to her older brother, Maleko. They had a falling out in high school when Lani got pregnant as a sophomore and she dropped out of school. With help from her parents, Lani had a daughter, Hokulani, and she earned her GED at the age of seventeen. As she was trying to keep her life together and attend college, Kekoa and Noelani were killed in a car accident. At the age of nineteen, Lani found herself moving back into her parents' house as the legal guardian of her younger siblings. Maleko was too busy with the Navy to return home.
Lani was never close to her younger sister, Kika. After the deaths of their parents, their relationship soured and became strained. In the end, Kika decided to move in with their maternal uncle and his family.
Without Kika and Maleko around, things developed into a return. While things weren't easy, the family was coming together. Kalia and Ellie were doing well in school, and Kale decided to drop out to work at the family restaurant with plans to earn his GED and attend college of some kind. With everything in her life, Lani was having difficulty balancing her responsibilities – her siblings and her daughter, college, the family's business empire, and her other relatives.
Shortly after becoming a Crystal Animamates, Aureole Moana turned up at the family house. Despite having no way to contact her brother, Lani opened the house to his new wife.

[ Daughter ] They’re close. Lani loves her daughter. She didn’t know she could love another person this much until Hoku was born. Hoku adores her mom, thinking she’s the best.
Kekoa and Noelani Moana
[ Parents ] They were close. Lani learned a lot from her parents when they were alive – like strong work ethnic from her dad and the importance of family from her mom. They had a brief falling out when Lani was pregnant at sixteen and she dropped out of school. With some help from her parents, Lani got a job at one of their restaurants and she enrolled in a GED program.
Mark Moana
[ Older brother ] Things are strained between them. At a younger age, Mark and Lani were close. When Mark left for basic training in the Navy, Lani dated his friend, Koni, and their relationship ended when Lani got pregnant. After basic training, Mark returned home, and they had a large fight that resulted in Mark leaving early. When their parents died, Mark didn’t return home.
Kika Moana
[ Younger sister ] Lani and Kika have never been close. Lani was the “perfect” daughter, which Kika hated. When Lani got pregnant at sixteen, Kika was furious when their parents embraced her instead of denouncing her. After the deaths of their parents, Kika started acting out and hashing out at her family. She forced Lani to transfer guardianship to another family member.
Kale Moana
[ Younger brother ] They’re close. Kale is only four years younger than Lani, and he looked up to her. He was the first to support Lani when he learned of her pregnancy, going as far as to help design the nursery for his niece. Lani wanted him by her side during the deliver – which is something Kale refuses to speak about. While he wasn’t close to either Mark or Kika, he does miss having them around – especially following the deaths of their parents.

[ Younger twin sisters ] They get along well. When the twins were younger, they were fond of Kika, and they saw Lani as the mean older sister. Things started to change when Lani was pregnant. They saw how Mark and Kika treated her. The twins were excited to have a niece, which was how they started to bond with Lani. After their parents’ deaths, the twins followed their mom’s philosophy of family and stayed with Lani, which has damaged their relationship with Kika.
Koni Oceans
[ Ex-boyfriend ] They don’t talk. They dated for a few months when Mark left for basic training. In that time together, Lani got pregnant. Koni ended their relationship after learning about it, stating the child wasn’t his and he didn’t want anything to do with Lani. Koni went as far as the sign away his paternal rights, continuing to swear that the child isn’t his.
