  • Pond Residence: Fairy's pond home is a large inlet in the middle of a big tropical island that is in the shape of a crescent. Pretty tropical flowers can be seen in the lush greenery lining the edge of the sandy coast, and a few palm trees way gently in the wind. You can see small colorful bits of coral sticking out of the water, and small shadows can be seen swimming in and around these coral bits. The majority of these fish are those that give Fairy her namesake, fairy basslets. Fairy gets her coloring from her pond when the sun sets, as that is the time of day she was born. It shimmers purple and yellow, reflecting the sun and the clouds in the sky. It is truly a sight to behold.
  • Personality: On the outside, Fairy seems rather egotistical and vain. She is always priming and prodding at herself to be sure she is at her best, and often polishes the precious stones on her body to shine to perfection. She loves to talk about herself and show others her beautiful water mane that flows like the tide. Though it may seem that way, she isn't entirely vain. She actually has a huge heart for her pond home, keeping it clean and full of life. Because of this she doesn't often take other ponies to see it, and since she's somewhat sassy towards other ponies, not too many are interested anyways. She sees most ponies as unclean, a threat to her beautiful environment because of all the harm regular ponies have done with pollution in Equestria.
  • Main Interests: Her island home, fish, water, cleanliness and her looks.
  • Theme Song: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_4nIY4xFSiQ - Super Mario Sunshine - Noki Bay (Underwater)

The sun began to set over a crescent shaped island, it was a fresh island that was rather young, for an island anyway. It was barren and empty, that is until the spirits set their eyes on it this particular evening. The water in the inlet at the center of the island began to reflect the evening sun and clouds, the purple clouds fading into the yellow light of the sun and the water swirled and warped the image. The light reflecting off the water in turn reflected onto the shore, filling the barren sandy landscape with color. Taking note of this, the spirits formed their plan. A large sphere of water rose out of the inlet, capturing the color and light of the sunset within it. It started to spin like a globe, faster and faster until it began to glow. The glow shone brightly, casting its light onto the water, and then crept up onto the shore, spreading until it covered the entire island and the water surrounding it in a large circle.

Trees and foliage began to grow on the island thanks to this magical light, large palm trees sprung up like weeds, bushes and flowers popped in between each one, filling the island with lushness and color. The light began to attracted animals as well, first birds, and then came fish in all sorts of shapes and colors, they began to swim all around and through the fresh coral. One particular kind of fish seemed extremely bountiful here, their coloring matched the sunset water perfectly, these fist were known as fairy basslets. A school of these fish began to swim in a circle underneath of the glowing ball of water, swimming faster and faster until a magical force picked them up in a water whirlwind. They swam around the glowing ball in the air, it was as though they were dancing as they took flight. The stage was finally set for the birth of a new life.

The glowing ball of water burst into light in an instant, and where it once floated was now a beautiful pink and purple mare. Her mane was made of water, and her coloring was that of the evening waters and the fairy basslets whom were still swimming around her in the air. She smiled as she floated down to the water, landing upon it and walking across it as though it were truly solid, her name ringing through her mind thanks to the spirits, 'Fairy Basslet', like the fish who were now swimming around her feet. The spirits were wise, they imbued her with the knowledge she needed to know who she was, and what she was meant to do. She was happy with her purpose, protecting such a beautiful island created in part by her was fulfilling. She kept it neat and tidy, disposed of any garbage that may have washed ashore, even clipped the old dead flowers to make way for new. And of course she kept her best friends, the fish, clean and happy. Not only did she hoof wash each and every fish to keep their gills clean, but she also hoof washed each little bit of coral sticking in and out of the water, her fishy friends needed a place to live after all. Lets not forget her own personal hygiene, which was tops. She kept herself groomed and tidy, her stones polished and shiny, and the water in her mane, back, and feet, clear of any dirt or sand.

Out of curiosity one day, she decided to venture off from her island and see what there was to see, she hoped there may be far greater beauty than her island home held. And while she did find some beautiful places, none of them compared to her home to her, especially when she found so many places that were far from pretty. In one particular place, pollution filled the air and the docks were fill with sludge and garbage, she was repulsed. How these ponies could ruin such a beautiful thing was beyond her comprehension, and become of this she began to grow a resentment towards regular pony folk. From there she returned home and decided that though she would still visit the shore from time to time, it wouldn't be very often. She rarely shows other ponies her pond home, the few who have seen it have all been Pond Ponies like her seeing as they are like minded in that regard, and with the sassy attitude she can have at times they don't usually stay long that's for sure. But who needs lots of friends when you can have a whole school of beautiful fish to talk to. When visiting the shore she now parades around like the cock of the walk, she believes the ponies are beneath her for all they have done and tries to rub in their faces how beautiful she is. Perhaps this is a misguided attempt to show the other ponies how beautiful things can be when they are taken care of, but it may be more likely that she just takes a little too much pride in her looks.
