Personality

Tobias is a surpisingly kind person. He cares deeply about other people's feelings and usually puts their comfort above his own. He is very friendly and gets along with people easily unless they're awful to him; then he has a bit of a jerk and reacts in a negitve way, usually snarky but sometimes extremely angry. There are very few people he hates as he does prefer to be nice to most people.

He is also known for being cocky during fights and training when he knows he's going to win or dealing with certain people.

He is only flirtatous with Ryley to whom he is also very sweet, patient and understanding. Being with him is also the few instances where he has displayed intense jealously. But he is very loving and wonderful to his family.

History

Tobias was born in Nivalis on Vanisca to Adlai and Kezia. They lived in the lower part of the city but were very happy. When he was five he was playing with some friends when there was an avalanche that crushed some of the buildings in the lower part of the city. His father died instantly and his mother later succumbed to her injuries. Tobias was sheltered by his friends and was later transfered to an orphanage.

He lived in the orphange for a while before he was adopted by August Kian and taken up to Mount Vera. He lived contently with them for a couple years being loved by Isolde and harshly instructed by August.

At seven a position of playmate and eventual bodyguard opened up at the Palace for Sebastain and August using his contacts sequred the poisiton for Tobias. He got along with Sebastain instantly and the two of them became like brothers. He also became very close to Mathis and he regarded them as more of a family then employers.

Around fifteen he realized his attraction to men which he kept a secret from August (not realizing the extent of his hatred of homosexuality) and began seeing a boy named Lyle Mason. They were together for about a fortnight before Lucas Royale found them and told August. August came to the tent and after telling them off, killed Lyle in front of him.

After Lyle's death Tobias became more closed off and began spending more time at the Palace with Sebastain and doing what he could to waylay August's plans, hoping that he could find the courage to stop him for good.

He met Ryley when he came to Vanisca for a peace treaty. He had never been interested in anyone else and was surprised by him. He liked him immediately and was excited and scared by it. He did everything he could to be understanding and supportive of Ryley's issues. They became a couple after a tough time and were married shortly before having twins together.
