[BACKGROUND]

Jace grew up thinking he was human, he was adopted by loving human parents. He grew up loving the dark but the more he grew up the more he would get bad intrusive thoughts. 

This is because Shadow Demons are typical born with control but as they get older they grow to become mindless killing machines. 

Jace tried to ignore the thoughts the best he could, he made cutting himself a habit to help stop the thoughts but he soon found it odd that they healed very quickly and didn't leave scars and on top of it his blood became a darker and darker color until it became black. 

One night the thoughts finally got to Jace, he practically blacked out but when he came to he saw the most horrid sight. His parents laid in bloody mess and his hands covered in blood; he came to the logical conclusion, it was his fault, he killed his parents

After Jace not knowing what to do he ran off, spending time living in back ally's and eventually far into the woods as he killed more people. He tried killing himself many times but couldn't a find a way that worked.

He was eventually found by a school for magical creatures that were willing to take him in, he went with them not knowing what else to do.
