Since the beginning of existence the celestial beings were gifted with power over the void, the chaotic magic that started all of existence as it is known in the world of Isethef. With their power, they worked tirelessly to create this world, the first world in their universe; and place upon it life, mortal kind, and slowly fill the barren world. With their will, they forced the chaotic energies to their call and manipulated them into existence.

Ruu-xa are, relatively, a newer spiritual beast created at the dawn of the era of humankind. As the celestial beings finished their work and turned away to rest, to regain their power, and found balance amongst each other, Ruu-xa began to form. The gods were too weakened to use their own magic, to travel to those who asked of them or requested their aid or blessing, and so they would send their blessings to their followers in the form of small magical sprites; known as the Ruu-xa. Beings capable of achieving the purpose their god requested of them, to help someone in need or fulfill a request for aid from those who were loyal to the celestial ones. The Ruu-xa became commonplace among the gods, though they were first utilized by the goddess Serafina their usefulness was soon expressed by the others as well and they became friendly messengers from the celestial plane to the earthly realms below. However, this also opened up the opportunity for dark gods to also create Ruu-xa; for a darker purpose. To send curses to individuals and hinder them.

Being spirits, they do have a mind and will of their own. It is frequent that most will follow their purposes and generally they are very loyal to their creators wishes. However, after achieving their desired goal they are free to live any life they choose. This goal can be anything, from something as minor as helping a young child find their favorite toy- to helping a village avoid starvation from the harsh winter. It depends on the god, the prayer granted to them, and whether they choose to act upon it. All Ruu-xa, as a result, are unique, as when created most are born with some ability to help them achieve their task, whatever it may be.

Ruu-xa are spirits, but they are mortal. They do have physical bodies and will age/can die given time and wear. They are capable of having offspring and forming their own lives. Ruu-xa born rather than created by their higher being are usually less magical/likely to have less unique traits than their parents. What the Ruu-xa chooses to do with their lives once/if their task is completed will vary highly on the individual. Some may still seek service for the celestial ones, others may become household pets, others may join the small villages of Ruu-xa that are commonplace in the world, ect. Occasionally, a Ruu-xa may deny its purpose. It is not a physical requirement that they follow their original purpose, but oftentimes ones who ignore or do not seek to complete their goal are left feeling empty or suffer sadness as a result. They are intelligent, sentient, and social beings and struggle with loneliness often if left alone for too long.

All Ruu-xa are created with beads, most often bound to their tails. These act as foci for their magical abilities, and are said to carry the whispers of their god; it's said by many Ruu-xa that their beads will lead them to where they are meant to be. How accurate that is, depends on the individual. All Ruu-xa are also bound to a symbol; most often engraved in their beads as well that ties them to their origin-being. These symbols may or may not effect the unique traits they have.

The actual influence of the god on the lives of their Ruu-xa also depends on the being that they are created from. Some gods actively assist the small spirits, while others are entirely oblivious to their existence, and some of the darker gods are even cruel to their small assistants. Most Ruu-xa never actually meet their creators in person/physical form, many never even truly speak to them.
