Jackson Rivers ([Older - Spymaster])

Maybe... not everyone gets happy endings.

It feels like everything I've done to be happy has been out of vain. No matter how hard I've tried to claw my way out of Hell, I end up back in it.
I've lost everything precious to me too many times to count now. There's only a few people I care about left, and this time I am not going to lose them.

I will get the life I want-- I deserve.

Even if it means by force.

Traumatized from his spouse's death, Jackson fell into a dark pit of despair and sorrow. The feeling of having no one and nothing to live for was a familiar one, and one he thought he wouldn't be able to escape had it not been for the few people he had left that he cared about being there for him.

Them, and one other person.

Claiming to be the Overseer of the secret and powerful organization he worked for known as the Prodigal, they offered him a chance to gain immortality for him and all those he cared about. Tempted with the idea of never having to lose anyone again, Jackson accepted, taking over his spouse's job as Headmaster in the Prodigal, and working diligently while secretly accepting missions from this "Overseer".

Notes: I'll stop making tabs for Jackson one of these days don't worry. This one was like BrokEn, borne from RP/ideas that were so good that I wanted to make a profile for it. Unlike BrokEn, though, this one's canon :^) All the bad things that have happened to Jackson have finally caught up to him, and now he's taken a turn for the villains' side

Personality: Somehow, some way, Jackson's still able to joke around and smile. He'll joke with his subordinates now and then and always has time for his family, but he's considerably quieter than he used to be, and is noticeably reserved.
Possibly having formed from years of pain and anger, Jackson has grown a cold heart to those he dubs an enemy, like those he tortures for information for the Prodigal.

Non-Human Abilities:
- Clear Vision - What he once tried desperately to never suffer from again has become the ace up his sleeve. Summoning from the well of cosmic power still inside him, Jackson can temporarily create a new eye to replace his missing one. This eye can peer through one's memories and can predict one's movements with 95% accuracy. This ability can only last for 5 minutes before it begins to hurt him.

Drawing Details: Jackson's hair is slightly longer, and he has a big beard, both of which have gray streaks in them. He wears a black button-up with slacks, and a gray vest with a red tie, what many consider to still be mourning clothes. He replaced the eye-patch Teddy had given him with a simple black cloth one, and wears Teddy's coat over his shoulders. His sleeves are rolled down to hide his wrist tattoos.

Fun/Extra Facts:

- Many people assume that Jackson had killed Teddy in order to take his position. It's somewhat true. He killed him, but only because requested. It traumatized him.

- The magic inside of him was granted by a god that tried to control him many years ago. When the god died, some of that magic stayed inside him, nearly controlling him again until he removed his own eye.

- This very magic is what caused a freeze in his age. It's also slowed down his aging process, so he's more likely to die of old age at 150.

- He no longer has a code of honor. He no longer has any qualm harming innocent people and taking lives.

- He has a son by then. Both he and his son knew about Teddy's final wish.

- There's another family consisting of a single mom and her son that Jackson considers his own. They helped him when he came out of his mind-control coma a long time ago. He wants to make them and his own son immortal, whether they agree to it or not.

- For a few years after Teddy's death, Jackson turned to alcohol. It took his family to get him to stop. He's been sober since.

- He'll smoke cigars now and then, especially when he's torturing someone.

- His attraction to others has dropped significantly, though he's aware that he's a silver fox now, and that if he were to date someone he wouldn't want them to be older than him by ten years anymore. Now he's just... lonely.

- Has a St. Bernard and a Pomeranian. Also considers the stray cat he feeds now and then his own.

- Has a tattoo of a rose over his heart with thorns coming out of it and up to his neck.
