Osiris Aurous is known first and foremost for being relentless in pursuit of their goals. They are willing to do anything and everything to achieve their goal of upward social climb. Ridiculously, in spite of their born caste, they have managed to carve a spot for themselves in the political sphere amongst the Alternian elite. How they haven't been eaten alive yet is a wonder to all, but they've made it known that they're not going anywhere anytime soon...
Osiris is never one to tip their hand, always one to keep their cards close to their chest and not let anything show to anyone. They are slow to like others and even slower to trust them, which has made their social climb a lonely endeavor. Despite needing to make themselves known in order to be where they are, almost no one can tell you anything about them other than what they've made explict is in their character. Osiris is the grand architect of their own story, and you'd better be careful, lest you end up a supporting role in their cast.
Character
Osiris is known for being particularly ruthless in climbing the social ladder. It's just par for the course on Alternia, honestly. Nothing is considered too below the belt for them, and sabotage is just a part of their everyday routine. Though they definitely don't have the same connections, associates, or networks that their higher-blooded peers may share, Osiris is well aware of how to manipulate the game so that they come on top no matter how unlikely it looks at the outset. Osiris is the type to promise you the whole world with a cherry on top, all the while holding a knife behind their back, preparing to strike the moment you're not looking.
It may seem on the surface as though Osiris is a one man army, but they actually have their own (VERY close-kept) circle that helps them with everything from information gathering to coming up with new outfits; Osiris is merely the face of the operation, and the one to take any fire that comes from being a lowblood in highblooded spaces. Gradually they hope to introduce more lowbloods into high society and change the playing field to make it more 'even' for people from all walks of life, but it's an uphill battle.
Abilities
SMOKE AND MIRRORS: Osiris' psionics prove very useful in all sorts of situations. In addition to general telekinetic abilities that most goldbloods have, their powers also allow them to manipulate energy (light, heat, electricity) or even block it out entirely. Also, since they're feral, their powers are far more enhanced than your average goldblood's.
ACE IN SLEEVE: Osiris doesn't look like they'd last long in a fight, but you'd be surprisingly wrong. They've been training since they were very young in order to fend off higher caste aggressors who didn't appreciate seeing 'mustard' where there wasn't supposed to be any. Needless to say, Osiris has plenty of practice taking down those who are bigger than them and who may at the beginning seem to have an adavantage over them in terms of brute strength.
Notes
- Osiris only lets their mask down in 1-on-1 scenarios.
- Their psionics look like inky, dark smoke with gold glitter dispersed throughout.
- Osiris has a matesprite, but no one knows their caste.
- The gold streak in their hair is dyed and is naturally white, like their ends.
- Their hands darken into claws at the ends.
Relationships
Iphnea Sabira [ Acquaintence ]
Osiris is pleased to see that the trend of inviting lower castes to high-society events is being championed by one of the most famous artists of the time. Though the two aren't close, there've been a couple talks of collaboration or 'being in kahoots' as they say.
Rinare Calvua [ Former Friend ]
Rinare and Osiris used to work closely together and once held very similar ideals, but began drifting apart when Osiris began resorting to backhanded measures in order to accomplish their goals. While there's no bad blood, there's most certainly bitterness.
