History

Lucifer was born to a wealthy, long standing family in Luminoire. Due to his bloodline, he was blessed with a naturally large and strong core. When he recieved his first blessing, the White Lion, at as an infant, everyone in the town hailed him as a prodigy even among his family. They praised him and his family for his powerful and unique blessing, and they all knew he would become a great magic user. Lucifer was not pressured by all these expectations; in fact, it simply made him curious about magic and its powers. He did not know what the word prodigy meant, but he knew everyone called him that and it meant he was special. Driven by the word “prodigy,” he went on to seek knowledge and learn about magic. Since five years old, Lucifer started visiting the priestess of Luminoire: Naevia, the Wooly Mammoth Annie. She took him in as an apprentice and began to teach him about the art of magic, as well as provide him with resources for him to study and experiment on his own.

His Youth

Lucifer continued to study magic, and he has already become much greater in skill compared to the rest of his class and age. As time progressed, the word “prodigy” started to get to him at times. He usually kept his cool, but sometimes he felt burdened by such a title and would run off to the outskirts of Luminoire. Sometimes, he would see the life of the commoners there and was shocked by the wide gap in quality of life between him and them.

When Lucifer was ten years old, he became stuck in a blizzard in one of his escapes. Freezing, he huddled in a cave he took shelter in while waiting for his parents or Naevia to come find him. Realization struck him, he always relied on others but he would never meet their expectations that way. Lucifer decided to make his way back on his own, and braved the storm. He found a home just as the cold started to truly get to him, and the woman inside let him in and sat him in front of a heat crystal to warm up. There, he met a young girl around his age who looked very sickly. He tried to cheer her up with small magic, and started visiting this girl daily.

Eventually he learned than she had an illness that not even Naevia could cure. He started going over every book he could find, desperately trying to find a cure. The young girl and her mother eventually moved away after hearing that there was an Annie who could possibly cure her. Unfortunately, Lucifer was told that the girl had died in the surgical process and was given a letter from her, telling him to move on and make other people happy the way he made her happy. Heartbroken, Lucifer sank into depression.

Young Teens

Lucifer blamed himself for the girl’s death. He no longer wanted to learn magic, as it did not help him when he needed it most. Naevia and his parents were extremely concerned for his well being, and tried to bring his spirits up. Lucifer went to school as usual, but mostly spent his time sulking. His young, bright smile was gone and was replaced with a somber and stoic appearance.

At the age of 15, a small light came into Lucifer’s life. His little brother, Ezra, was born. For the first time in years, Lucifer felt warmth and love bursting through his body as he held Ezra for the very first time. Lucifer performed various magic and tricks for Ezra to make the baby laugh. Lucifer once again felt the desire to learn all about magic, but this time he was fueled by the smile he saw on people’s faces. Invigorated, Lucifer gave himself a new mission- to spread happiness with his talents.

Maturity

As a young adult, Lucifer is now filled with energy and bravado. It may seem to be a sort of front to hide how broken he was inside, watching the deaths of the poor as well as other horrors of this world. He continues to learn under Naevia, and constantly presents to her new inventions he created utilizing magic. He lives up to his title of "prodigy," but his dear Ezra as a result lives in his shadow. This makes Ezra resent Lucifer, which saddens Lucifer as Ezra is one of the most important people in his life. Around when he was 30, Lucifer became drawn to the properties of music and how it and magic can lift the moods of people. The meteors hit the earth, and Lucifer was a survivor as the meteors did not hit anywhere too close to Luminoire. The effects of the meteors on the world, as well as his meeting with Vanche, motivated to move onto the next stage of his life, in the far away city of Laoluzia.
