Profile
Once upon a time there was a rich boy who had all the time in the world and a pocket full of ambition. He was born with magic, but it was only a fraction of what most mamoras had, and he wanted more.
He found more, but didn't stop there. He grew his magic until he was the most feared mamor in the south, and when he found that boring he reached for another goal. The rich boy wanted immortality.
He found it, but at a terrible cost.

Drackie leaped up and charged, his wings melting into claws and his snake teeth bared. Cora braced herself for the worst. He had her this time.
But his rage wouldn't end with her. Klepti had said it could take days for a wendigo to regain sanity, and there was a whole city waiting outside.
She dogged his jaws and wrapped her arms around them as he pounded forward. He drug her along as he stumbled, thrashing and clawing at the air. After a moment he reached up and tried to pry her off, his talons sinking into her arms.
"Damit Drakie! That hurts!" Cora swung her hips up and kicked at his forelimbs. The change in weight threw him off balance and he fell forward, slamming her back into the ground.
There had to be something, anything, she could tie around his head. She readjusted her grip and glanced around the hallway. Her hopes were dashed. There was a rug. Well, a rug and the bathroom.
The bathroom without windows... And a really heavy door...
List of wendigos ~
W. Wendigo - American - a vaguely anthropomorphic form or a walking corpse with a gaunt and sickly build, sunken in eyes, and chapped and bleeding lips - Follows hunters and hides behind trees when they turn to look - No matter how fast you turn the wendigo turns faster, no mater how fast you run the wendigo runs faster - Sometimes pitied and tolerated by their tribe - Developed from a corrupt or greedy human - Strongly associated with winter and northern climates
W. Stryx - Greek and Roman- A bird or bat with four limbs, a rapacious beak, and curved talons - Grey or dark coloration - a shrill scream (owl's bomb whistle call) - and a possible "bloodthirsty monster in bird form" - strongly associated with owls
W. Aswang - Filipino - Blood sucking or organ eating flying creature - Uses a proboscis/tongue rather then sharp teeth - often live as active members of society, only shapeshifting to hunt at night, after midnight - Flies from roof top to roof top and breaks through the thatching to stick it's tongue through, but may also hunt travelers alone at night - wing beats make a wak wak or tik tik sound which seems loud when the aswang is far off and quiet when the aswang is close - Have eyes that reflect images upside down - Never hunt among their friends or family, they will fly far off to hunt (hence the saying, better and aswang then a thief) - strongly associated with crows and bats
W. Preta - Asian - "Hungry ghost" Like the american wendigo, preta have a thin sickly build, an insatiable hunger, and developed from a corrupt or greedy human - Slow, sickly, and more of a nuisance then a threat -
W. Loup-garou - French - Essentially a cannibalistic werewolf
W. Rougarou - French/American - Also a a cannibalistic werewolf - "Under a spell for 101 days, after that their curse moves on to another person when the rougarou draws another human's blood" [Quote] - Most often appears with the head of a wolf and the body of a human
W. Kelpie - Scottish - An aquatic horse-like beast - May be helpful or deadly - can appear as a human, but sometimes show signs of their other form such as horse ears or hoved feet - Will appear as a normal horse, but once mounted the skin turns sticky like tar or glue, and the kelpie charges into the nearest water to drown it's prey - Associated with water, horses, and beautiful or handsome strangers with bad intentions
W. Cegua/Sihuanaba - Mezoamerican -
