Since ancient times, there has been a need for youkai to blend in with humans from time to time. Kitsune are no exception, possessing an inborn capability to shift between a vulpine and humanoid form at will. Ame favors a state between the two and had the most difficulty learning to fully shift into the form of a fox.

Among the elemental attributes, shadow is a peculiar one. Since childhood, Ame's emotions have directly influenced the way her ability behaves; lashing out when she's endangered, or hiding her when frightened. Commonly intangible, Ame's abilities allow her not only to give solid form to shadows, but also to freely manipulate their shape and density. Besides those basic applications, the shadows have proven capable of creating illusions and being used as gateways between spaces. The fully bredth of this ability is unknown.

Kitsune are nearly synonymous with the capability to shapeshift. Unfortunately, having not begun learning to do so when she was young, Ame's growth in this area is stunted. Her mastery extends only so far as shifting her body within its own physical parameters. The most complex application she's capable of is swapping between sexes, which she professes to be where her interest in shapeshifting really ends.

Built for agility, Ame can move at a speed others have described as her "flickering from place to place in a blink."

Kitsune possess heightened senses, more aligned with their vulpine brethern than any mortal. While this is mostly to their benefit, it almost means that particularly pungent smells and especially loud noises can border on crippling.
