Past

Cliq grew up in an insular community surrounded by other changelings. Because of the natural suspicion many people regarded shapeshifters with, it was hard to find work or a place to live that didn't see them as a threat. So, Cliq's community made their way by using their natural gifts to their advantage. She grew up learning to fight and kill and sneak, and soon she joined in on the family business of killing for the highest bidder. Cliq was good- fast, efficient, and seemingly ruthless. One day, however, she was commissioned to kill a young human lord to get him out of the line of succession. The idea of kililng a child who had done nothing wrong didn't sit well with Cliq. She left her life and her family behind, determined to find another way.

For a while Cliq just travelled and lived off her assassin money. She wanted to be a better person, and the thought of turning to the cloth was attractive, but few places would allow a former killer into their ranks. She hid her identity as a changeling assassin and just focused on experiencing the world. This was how she came upon one of the few temples of Olidammara, the god of trickery, wine, and rogues. They didn't care that she'd been a killer- in fact, they seemed impressed- and her natural gifts were celebrated there. She learned their rites and their magic- how to heal or pass unseen or just find the best place to get mad crunk. Armed with a new purpose to do good and spread merriment, Cliq left a new woman.

After that Cliq had many adventures- getting to know lizardfolk chieftans, toppling minor despots, and just experiencing as much of the world as she could. And it was through these travels that she made the acquaintance of a woman who simply went by the name "R."

The Claws of Garuda

R, like Cliq, was hiding her true identity. Although she presented herself as a half-elf woman of leisure, in reality R was a red dragon who had stumbled upon a terrible secret regarding old gods and new kings. R tasked Cliq with watching over a group of adventurerers she had hand picked to help ensure they worked to stop a newly instated king from summoning a terrible evil god into their world.

The Road Forward

The defeat of Garuda left Cliq with a lot of things- money, infamy, friends... For now, she has occupied herself by continuing to travel with and watch over Prince Ganymede But there are rumblings of trouble in the far planes, and who knows how long the peace will last...

• Man of Many Faces- Distantly descended from shapeshifting fae and doppelgangers, Cliq can easily assume the countenance of other humanoids. From lizardfolk to elves and everything in between, Cliq has little trouble changing her appearance, sometimes even assuming and living under fake personas.
• Natural Born Killer- Cliq was trained from a young age to kill as quickly and quietly as possible. Just because she's now a cleric doesn't mean that she's afraid to end life to do what's right.
• Olidammara's Chosen- Her devotion as a cleric to the god of trickery grants her the ability to cast spells. From healing to invisibility to more archaic and strange rituals, she's happy to help out her friends with her talents.

• Cliq has a scar on her left leg from where she was almost eaten by a seawolf.
• After finishing her training to be a cleric of Olidammara, Cliq got Olidammara's symbol tattooed on the back of her right shoulder.
• Cliq has suspicions that her uncle may actually be her father, but she's never followed up on it.
