character notes!

- has a combo of dionysian and fair folk lore and is thematically loss of inhibitions/voyeurism/chaotic whims of nature
- clever and cunning but prefers to act like a walking text from last night, she's typically a happy and generous drunk who'll shower her followers with gifts and food
- she LOVES WINE AND FOOD, she just wants to have fun and party
- eating anything at her feasts and parties will trap you in them for a temporary period and you'll enter her nightmare, the wine there also often contains her own flowers or leaves
- loves madness and chaos and generally induces hallucinogenic and for the most part nonsensical dreams filled with representations of your base desires, but the dream will always end before you can achieve fulfillment. most wake up with no recollection of what they dreamt of apart from a vague sense of longing (and a hangover)
- she has a willing group of followers who lose themselves in her nightmare as a form of escapism. she loves all her followers!!!! she adopts those who get voluntarily lost in her woods and looks after them and gives them first pickings at her parties what a good wine mom
- she's completely uninterested in taking advantage of people and the main effect of her influence is releasing your inhibitions. generally most other stygians avoid her because many secretly want to attend her parties, but will lose face if they're actually caught at one. everything you do there is Very Receiptable but sibyll herself would never receipt you, she just wants you to have a good time <:3c
- a huge gourmet, she likes eating stuff from the dream realms especially
- her nightmare realm is a winding forest that distinctly gives you the sense of being constantly watched, as you progress further into the various glades they get increasingly lush and surreal. if you give into temptation to try any of the fruits and plants you'll immediately and instinctively be led into the glade in which all her parties take place, while those who resist and struggle will generally get lost and kicked out
- that feeling of constantly being watched is very literal, all the trees in her woods have eyes and all their roots are connected to her like a creepy forest security cam
- generally you should bring a warding charm if you actually want to find her or ask for a favor, which protects you from the nightmarish properties of the forest - however you'll probably still have to wander for potentially days and find your own way through and the paths tend to change themselves (with some becoming overgrown while others clear) throughout subsequent visits. 

modern humanverse AU thoughts

- i imagine her as an enigmatic drifter who randomly picks up jobs because she thinks they're fun and quits them/gets fired when she loses interest in them. the only reason she still gets hired at all is because her resume is so colorful and she's actually competent, but only when she wants to be, and is really good at being charming in interviews.
- the only reason she even takes jobs is 1) for fun, not even for the experiences but just "what is fun at the moment" and 2) to fund her alcohol
- she's completely allergic to commitment in terms of both jobs and relationships
- terrible sense of fashion because she has no interest in her appearance
- she spends the time that she's not juggling odd jobs freeloading, and if you call her out on how much of a mooch she is she just goes <:3 and probably sets up a super shady brewery in your basement
- also has huge green thumb and when you come back after a month your potted plants have probably doubled in size and look healthier than they have in months
- basically don't invite her into your home unless you want the legal headache of a speakeasy suddenly manifesting in your basement, and your garden and/or houseplants suddenly taking over your home
