Marblestar is a very odd sort of cat. At first glance, she seems to be a bit of a dreamer with her head always in the clouds. She's always talking about the great lions of the sky and the powers of the stones. And to most cats, this really doesn't make sense. But however odd it may seem, Marblestar always knows what she's going on about and has everything organized in a way that makes sense to her and the other cats who really know her.

Marblestar is a bit particular about how things run. Things absolutely have to be just so in order for her to be satisfied. Rules, regulations, schedules, all those have to happen correctly. She gets persnickety and upset when things aren't running properly. Some of this stems from a feeling of a lack of control as a young warrior back in her old clan.

Marblestar is a bit of a neurotic mess as well. She worries about a lot of things, and if things deviate from what she's used to she has a tendency to freeze as all the worries and thoughts overwhelm her. She's very dependent on her mate to keep her from coming apart at the seams at these times.

However, Marblestar is in fact very loving and caring. She hates punishing the innocent, and as much as she likes justice she will make sure that mercy is offered. It may not be in the way the cat wants, but it will be there. She's especially loyal to her family and those she truly loves. Her family is very important to her.

Marblestar also has a tendency towards being tough. If she knows you're in the wrong, she will prosecute you heavily. She hates it when cats are selfish, and this tends towards her being fairly angry. Her wrath is terrifying to behold, and Dawnglow is just glad that they haven't had to deal with it yet.

History||

Marblestar was born Marble, the only surviving kitten of her mother Robin (a dilute fawn/cream tortie). Robin was an older rogue - her mate had died while she was pregnant with her kittens, and she was basically at that age where she shouldn't be having kittens anyways. Marble's littermates, a cream tom named Blaze and a fawn tom named Buck, both died within days of birth, leaving Marble the only one.

From an early age, Marble was taught how to fight, how to hunt, and how to survive. Robin wanted to make sure her only kitten survived, just in case she perished early. And once Marble was old enough, mother and daughter began to travel.

In their travels, when Marble was about 8 moons old, the two stumbled upon four great clans - Solar Clan, Stellar Clan, Terra Clan, and Lunar Clan. These four clans were ancient, having lived there for eons upon eons and having a rich history. They were lucky to stumble into Lunar Clan territory, since Lunar Clan was the most accepting of outsiders, and were adopted into the Clan.

Robin was named Robinfeather, and the leader, Snowstar, gave Marble a matching name - Starlingpaw.

Starlingpaw raced through her apprenticeship. After all, Robin had taught her well. During this time, she made good friends with another apprentice, Dawnpaw, whom she later had a crush on.

After a dramatic battle with Terra Clan in which Starlingpaw almost died, she was given her warrior name - Starlingfeather.

Starlingfeather was a well respected warrior with an unusual connection to Star Clan. She'd be in and out of the medicine den, discussing the latest prophecies and talking about Star Clan.

Meanwhile, Snowstar, the leader at the time, began becoming more aggressive in their negotiations. Especially with Stellar Clan, the grandest clan with the best territory. There had been a long standing feud between the two as Lunar Clan was constantly hounding for a part of their territory that Stellar Clan had stolen.

Tensions came to a head when Snowstar ordered a midnight attack on Stellar Clan's camp. Starlingfeather railed against it, and for her efforts, she and four other cats who'd stood by her were kicked out.

That night, once far outside the clan territories, Starlingfeather was visited by three ancient and powerful cats in a dream - the great lions of the sky. The first, Sandya, the sun lion, told her that her mother had been killed in the battle, leaving Starlingfeather to grieve. The second, Badar, the moon lion, changed her name to Marblestep, the name that would go down in history. And the third and final, Menodora, the eclipse lion, gave her a mission to go and found a new clan.

Filled with grief and determination, Marblestep informed her travelling companions of their task. All of them readily agreed. And thus, the grand adventure to begin Eclipse Clan began.
