⭐ GENERAL RULES ⭐
If you purchase a custom character design from me, or commission me to draw your existing character, you are still the legal copyright holder of the character. The rights to the artwork itself however, are retained by me, and I reserve the right to post the artwork online in my gallery or social media as an example of my work, unless we have a prior agreement. I will never retain ownership of the character itself once it has been purchased from me. Character rights are transferred to the owner.
YOU MAY:
• Post all the art to your gallery with credit
• Decide the character's name
• Decide the character's gender or pronouns
• Commission artwork of the character or a fursuit of the character, etc.
• Draw them to your hearts content!
• Enjoy it as you would any other character you own!
YOU MAY NOT:
• Claim the art as your own
• Claim you designed the character
• Use the images for profit in any way (ex. selling prints, stickers, merchandise, etc.)
⭐ SALES, TRADES, & GIFTS ⭐
• Gifting any character design is always allowed
• You may later trade the design for another character(s) or items
• You may later resell the design for the price you paid
• Reselling the design purely for profit is prohibited.
The exception is if the design comes with additional artwork that you have commissioned, or a fursuit, plushie, etc.
If you think you may resell a character design in the future, it is recommended to keep a value log on the character's TH page to keep track of the amount spent on the character.

⭐ CLOSED SPECIES ⭐
I frequently do work for Project XERO and Sylphlings - see each link for rules specific to each species. Official character ownership for each species is handled through their respective Masterlists, so if you are purchasing or trading for a character belonging to one of these species, be sure to verify the owner on the site matches up with the owner on ToyHouse, to ensure you are not being scammed.
