Personality

Eligos has about as much personality as a log sitting at the bottom of a bog. That isn't to say he's unpleasant or boring, it's more that he's barely developing a personality. As his current self, he's curt yet obidient. Seeking to get the job done as that's expected out of him. No other motive in mind such as rewards or favors from those around him. If one pays close attention, they can make out who he was as Abigor.
He may not be much for conversation, but he tries to be polite when speaking to others. He's one to ensure other's wellbeing and still holds great love for animals. Even as the Aspect of War, he condems needless violence and wishes to solve things in a more diplomatic manner.

There are some things that go beyond him such as his obvious familial resemblence to Bune and his kin, claiming their similarities are pure coincidence.

Trivia

  • His main pet is a chunky rat named Little King Cheddar I. He demands the whole name be spoken if Little King Cheddar's addressed.
  • Has a side-hobby of costume and plush creation.
  • Huge horse enthusiast.
  • Argues with his armor a lot. It's enchanted/cursed and spritzes it with bug spray to make it shut up.
  • He operates a rescue organization for rodents and other small animals. It also doubles as an adoption facility.
  • Called the Rat King by some of his siblings, much to his chagrin.
History

The second youngest of all of Asmodeus' children, Eligos began life as Abigor. Like all children of Princes, he led a fairly luxurious lifestyle. One that became turbulent once Bune, his father, demanded his son act befitting of his brithright. That of a conqueror, a Lord.
This was a lifestyle that Abigor abhorred. When he divulged his feelings to Asmodeus, Bune was warned to leave the young demon alone. Though this conflicted with Abigor's yearning to receive his father's approval. It wasn't the easiest issue to navigate but it landed him in a sort of sweetspot where he didn't have to pursue the conqueror lifestyle but still fulfilled his role in expanding the bloodline.

Abigor was wed to a woman of mysterious origin, but was someone of high ranking. Someone appropriate enough to sire an heir through with Abigor. Although he did truly care for his wife and eventual child with her, the direction his life took made him truly miserable. Nothing was his choice. He didn't have the guts to place boundaries with Bune nor the conviction to take the reins of his life in a direction he wanted in fear of being ostracized by his Lord-father. In an act of rash decision to feel like he was taking control of his life, he inherited the Aspect of War, becoming one of Asmodeus' generals during the initial rebellion against the Princes.

Everybody knew what Abigor had actually done, though. He ran away. He left the woman and child he claimed to care for, left his father's dream of having a worthy heir, and abandoned Asmodeus' life and warmth to feel like he was his own person. It straigned his relationship with everybody but Asmodeus, who was deeply saddened and tried everything to bring his son back. Though Abigor never got the chance to return.
In one of his campaigns, Abigor was taken as a prisoner of war. Despite the effort of the Princes who heard Asmodeus' plight, they didn't get to him in time. The young Aspect died long before help arrived.

Surrounded, the Champions were convinced they would be captured or slaughtered but were ready to put up a fight. Thankfully, they wouldn't be drafted into a Usurper's forces that day. Donning the attire of War, a masked demon referring to himself as Eligos cut through the usurping forces and he bore a stunning resemblence to Abigor. Only he had different hair. And was much taller. More serious too. When asked about these developments, Eligos was confused, having no idea what the Champions were referring to but expressed that he never saw an Abigor. It was apparent that he lost his memories and it was agreed that it was best to not bring up details of his prior life. From that day, he lived life as Eligos, a stray blessed by War and taken in by Beelzebub as a general for his legions.

Though his arrival as a general stirred up his long-lost family. While Asmodeus keeps his distance to be on the safer side, Eligos already had some run-ins with his ex-wife, child, and even an odd rivalry with his old man, Bune. Their reactions towards him confuse him more than anything, but he ensures to keep stuff professional between them and him.
For the most part, his family believes it's best he lives a life Abigor would have wanted. Making his own choices. This little contact with him, outside of professional settings, is how he eventually managed to meet his current partner. A completely average man who is successful in bringing out his true personality as a gentle animal lover with compassion for others.

A completely average joe. Nothing of note but it didn't take Eligos long to fall for the guy. Everybody questions how someone like Eligos could fall for a guy so average.
