Besk is the token example of what most people think of when they hear the word "adventurer" in Faerûn. He's kind, empathetic, and strong-willed in his decisions when it comes to helping people who need it. Maybe he's a bit too quick to talk back to authority figures who overstep their bounds, and he has a habit of trying to preserve his own life first and foremost if the situation is truly dire, but everything he does he does for the betterment of the people around him. He knows the reputation the precedes him just from being a tiefling, and he wants to dispel it.
Having been born to a human mother who had no idea her child was going to be a tiefling, Besk was abandoned as a newborn and adopted by two drow women. He grew up rather uneventfully in the Upperdark, underground but still getting plenty of contact with trading towns on the surface. He managed to save up enough coin from working as a forgehand in a blacksmith's shop to support himself and his boyfriend shortly after he hit his 20s.

- Most animals don't seem to like him very much. One time when he was 11, not very long after his horns had grown in, he kept getting headbutted by a goat, and he retaliated by headbutting it right back. He now has tinnitus.
- For whatever reason, be it a complication from his birth or a lack of proper care shortly after, he has some mobility issues in his legs that can flare up at random times. It isn't anything too impeding, he just sometimes gets joint pain or needs to use his weapon as a cane for a bit.
