Aurinko

Aurinko is a highly skilled pokemon, they used to fight alongside a trainer and his wife... until they both had passed away. Due to their high level, Aurinko was to be passed off to the couple's child. This child however was too aggressive, and would use Aurinko to battle lower leveled pokemon unfairly. Eventually they ran away from the kid, fed up with having to beat up the helpless.

Faced with no one else to turn to, they journeyed to the Sky Pillar and climbed to the top of the tower in order to face Rayquaza in a fair battle. Aurinko was defeated by the dragon, and through the pain of defeat, they decided that battling wasn't what they wanted to do anymore.

They stayed at the Sky Pillar for a little longer, and became friends with a Mawile who had a similar backstory. The two worked together to forge a sword and shield for Aurinko to use, and then said their farewells. 

Aurinko then set out to rescue and aid pokemon that needed help. Strictly using their sword and shield to fight, instead of their powerful attacks, because they had given up on gravely hurting anymore pokemon.
