The only child of King Alexander and the one destined to ascend the throne, becoming king was no easy task for Lucas. His father left Ambria in disarray, and Prince Lucas was the one who had to clean it up. Achieving peace was difficult, especially with the plague running rampant. While Lucas had to do some questionable things to save his kingdom, there was one sure way to bring peace to his nation.
He must find the divine maiden and have her cleanse the Kingdom of Ambria. However, the prince knows the price that needs to be paid for such a power. The divine maiden would have to sacrifice her life and that would mean losing the one woman who Lucas loves.

Ever since they were kids, Lucas had a crush on Lillian. He would often sneak out of the castle to visit her at the church, even during her lessons to become high priestess. Despite their different classes and roles, Lucas vowed to make Lillian his queen one day even though the odds are against them. But first, the prince needs to save his kingdom as well as Lillian from her awful fate.

After all, he pays her well and she needs money to buy medicine for her grandmother.
