Zarin Seacaller

At first glance, Zarin is a short, unassuming au ra, often clad in green, with a plain katana on her hip. Polite, reserved, and thoughtful, she rarely speaks - when she does, it's usually only one or two words, uttered in a soft whisper. Zarin wanders wherever the wind takes her, valuing freedom very highly, and while she has many parts of the world still to see, she hopes to one day visit them all.
Though originally hailing from Hingashi, Limsa Lominsa is truly home to her, and whenever she does pause in her travels to return somewhere familiar, it's to the family there that adopted her many years ago.

Niraz is a strange being. Though he looks the part of a normal red panda, he speaks - quite often, in fact, and with the biggest words he can find. An eloquent and friendly fellow, he's eager to learn whatever he can about the world and everyone he meets. His dignified demeanor, however, hides a mischievous side. As much as he'd rather not admit it, a good dose of chaos brightens up his day - so long as none of his allies are hurt in the process, of course.
He speaks little of himself when it comes to his past, content to redirect or talk about Zarin instead.
Together
The two are their own adventuring duo, with Zarin the sword and Niraz the voice. Rarely seen apart, they do most everything together, working as a team. If you see one, expect the other to be nearby.
It's clear just by seeing them that they've been by each others' side for many years. Each one intensely loyal to the other, they don't often disagree - but when they do, expect long, frustrated staring contests to ensue.
They may have places that they frequent, but they never stay still for long. The mystery of what lies beyond the horizon always calls to them.
Hooks
adventurers for hire: These two will wander most anywhere, and they're always seeking an odd job or two - both to assist others, and to pay for their own expenses.
old magics: The duo might be found asking around for old tomes and spells or delving into ruins said to contain magical secrets - especially related to thaumaturgy and black magic.
back in hingashi: Though it's been many years since Zarin's lived in Hingashi, she would be interested in re-learning about the culture there. Niraz, however, seems unusually wary about the place...
mischief managed: Though overall harmless, Niraz does enjoy a good prank now and again... perhaps your character is his next target?
you can talk?? Neither Niraz or Zarin find it odd that Niraz speaks, but perhaps you do - it's a bit different, after all.
the caller family: If one were to look into Zarin's adoptive family, they'd find an eclectic bunch. Consisting of mostly roegadyn, but with several other adopted members of various races, they were known to previously be fairly successful pirates before they left that life behind and settled down... for the most part.
keeper of the flowers: The two often tend to have flowers on them or stored on Zarin's chocobo. They tend to be on the lookout for new, colorful specimens, and would likely hire a botanist at times to help find new flowers or identify their finds.
In Summary
Two wanderers, ever on a journey to cleanse the land of evil and seek what new things they can. The path goes ever on, and they intend to follow wherever the wind blows.
As long as they have each other, and a family safe at home, there is no fear to feel when they step into the unknown.
