Backstory:

Idun was a promising witch from the beginning of her life. Controlling your powers as a witch is hard, but Idun seemed to do good at it. So when she filled 10 she was sent off to be trained to be a mediator. At the age of 14 Idun figured she didn't want this to be her fate, so she ran away a cold winter night. She ran far until her feet could not carry her anymore. Unfortunately that was in the middle of nowhere. Her body collapsed in the snow, and the frost started to embrace her. First it ate her fingertips, then, it ate her side and then it ate her eyes. 

A boy was out in the forest too, that night, his spirit wolf beside him. He heard a low chirp and his wolf followed it, leading him to a strange shape in the snow. He carefully turned it and discovered it was a girl. She was cold, lifeless and frostbitten, but he felt there was something left inside her. So he took her to some witches. He ran all night to get her there in time, before what little he had felt perished. His spirit led the way.

Species info: 

A witch is a being that is born with all the features of a human being, but possesses great powers. How well they can train and control their powers is up to the individual witch. Some get the hang of it naturally, some do not. Witches also have the ability to summon a spirit, which is the embodiment of their soul. They can change the shape of this spirit at will, but bigger shapes drain more of their energy. It often serves as their familiar and friend.

A seer is a type of witch that can see the future, the now and the past. They can locate items or see bits of your future or past life. Normally a witch get these powers if they are born blind, but they can be accquired by other means. Some witches even blind themselves to be gifted the powers. A seer is only partially blind though, as they can see life. All things that have life in them will appear like lights in their vision. The more light, the more life. They can also see spiritual forces and most magic. Due to their lack of vision, they have more energy to spend on taming their own powers, thus making them more in control than other witches.

Personality:

Idun is a calm lady with her heart in the right place. She cares for others and wouldn't hurt a soul unless extremely pressured or made to do so while something possesses her. She can be independent, but that requires her to see her surroundings properly. If the land around her is dead, she won't detect anything with her sight, which results in being lost. So when in a lush forest she can manage well on her own, but in a cold snowy landscape, everything is so buried and in deep sleep that she's as good as blind and will need some guidance and assistance.
