White Magic
As an apprentice priest of Anubis, Jackal has basic knowledge of healing spells.
The cantrips he has memorized are Light, Sacred Flame, and Thaumaturgy.

Thanks to his Infernal heritage, he has superior vision in dark and dim conditions. He can see in dim light within 60 feet of him as if it were bright light, and in Darkness as if it were dim light. He can’t discern color in Darkness, only shades of gray.

Infernal Legacy
He knows the Thaumaturgy cantrip. When he reaches 3rd level, he can cast the Hellish Rebuke spell as a 2nd-level spell once with this trait and regain the ability to do so when he finishes a Long Rest. When he reaches 5th level, he can cast the Darkness spell once with this trait and regain the ability to do so when he finishes a Long Rest. Charisma is his Spellcasting ability for these Spells.

Jackal does what he can to be good and follow rules, but his Infernal blood still weaves it's way into his actions. On one hand, he has a habit for causing mischief and acting selfishly, and on the other he uses his magic to help those in need and prays to Anubis every night asking his sins be forgiven.

As a tiefling, Jackal isn't very trusting of strangers. But if you can worm your way into his heart, you'll have yourself a loyal ally till death.


He can be quite petty and will often hold grudges for a while.


Jackal was adopted off the streets by the human cleric Liliane and was raised in the main temple of Anubis and studied under the priests. At age 17, Jackal traveled to the city of Daven to oversee the construction of a new temple, but stuck around for the cats. During his first ever battle against goblins, he foolishly stole a fallen's scimitar and failed to land a hit on another, costing him his life. He was lucky a necromancer was around to revive him, but has despised goblins since then.


He loves the desert heat and feels most at home when surrounded by sand.
