Velvet Leaf is a simple and quiet pony who lives in a small collage in the woods. She is a botanist and loves everything about it. She absolutely adores horticulture and shows it with how well she cares for her plants. She prefers to be alone and undisturbed but is kind and willing to help others if needed.

She is a pale green pony with a striped mane and tail. Her mane and tail are striped pastel pink, red, and purple. Her eyes are a pretty green but deeper than her coat color.
Her cutie mark is a leaf, which its margin was based off of that of a real velvet leaf, being cordate or heart shaped, which was purposely exaggerated in this case to make it cuter and more appealing. Also like a velvet leaf, it has a more palmate venation, however, it appears to be more arcuate, to give it a simpler and artist friendly appearance. Finally, the mark was given extra flair by making the margin take on one of the colors of Velvet Leaf's mane, and gave it unique variegation that is the same soft green used in her coat. This is atypical, as the velvet leaf (Abutilon theophrasti) does not have any variegation on its margin, making it truly one of a kind.
