Adapted for a desert climate. Used to migrate for the winter. Rendered lethargic and vulnerable in cold weather, to the point that his metabolism slows right down.

Often faces discrimination over his appearance; can be touchy about this and doesn't always do himself any favours by retaliating into the perceived stereotypes about him.

Opportunistic carnivore and active predatory hunter. However, notably careful about who he hunts, and seldom antagonizes random forest citizens. Aims for those less likely to be protected, therefore relatively inconsequential. Recognizes a specific forest dynamic and takes advantage of it when and where he can.

Personality can be variable. Most the time he behaves in rather simplistic ways; he finds great joy in the hunt. Normally direct in his intentions. Apathetic, not wholly so, just enough to not be above inconveniencing others for his own thrills, or disconnect from prey. Internally bitter and more openly petty. Can be pushy and shameless, and likes dominance. Has a sapient-level of intelligence and is fully capable of creative thought. Learns and plans ahead. Influenced by the cultures of his kind and can recognize concepts above his immediate understanding. Has a strong instinctive social drive, despite preferring a nomadic lifestyle, and quite easily falls into specific behaviours stemming from this. Experiences prolonged moodswings - suffers bouts of insomnia that can influence this. Shows strong signs of PTSD.

Appearance

The Endless Forest (Feral) Size: 24

A Mammal with high aesthetic similarity to avian dinosaurs. Markings highly inspired by Death's Head Hawk Moths. Short but dense velvety fur, becomes longer and wired at his crest.

Facultative bipedal depending on necessity. High maneuverability and capable of turning on a dime. Casual walker on four legs. Trotting pace on his two back legs. Sprints on back legs.

Regularly uses his front legs and long tail to aid in his balance and sharp turns.

Combat

Fast and clever. All about slashing and biting. Able to grapple onto much larger targets though not for long periods of time. Actively uses his maneuverability, teeth, claws, and intelligence in a fight. Spends a significant amount of a fight sizing his opponent out, seeking to exploit weaknesses.

Not strong in direct combat, but much stronger over time due to the bleed he inflicts, or infection in the days following from his bite. Naturally resistant to bacteria and poisons, though not immune.

Bacterial Bite

Produces a specific kind of bacteria in his Saliva. Each bite comes with an incredibly high risk of infection; first it won't heal, if not cleaned and treated, will deteriorate into infection, gangrene, then sepsis. Lethal and an excruciatingly painful way to die. Can be countered by thoroughly cleaning wounds and receiving medical treatment, the sooner the better.
