"Angel Game"--It's said to be a game where one could gain the ability to control powerful elements by having a magical, circle-shaped symbol on their left hand called the "Angel's Heart". However, it was discovered that the price you pay to play this game is by having a certain "misfortune"; and that alone became the reason why the game is frowned upon society--saying it's the source of these misfortunes or the sign of an upcoming war between mankind. One day, Kokoro found herself owning the rumored Angel's Heart...after facing her biggest loss...

Kokoro is introduced as the first and main protagonist of the story. After facing her greatest misfortune, she became an "Angel Game" was aware of its existence ever since then. With her strong heart, Kokoro continues to face the new path in her life--not by herself--but with new memories with her friends, and final memories from her late mother by her side.
Personality
Compared with the sun, Kokoro is often associated with a ball of energy--always full of enthusiasm and passion in almost everything she does. This also makes Kokoro appear to be someone very friendly and approachable; as she basically interacts with anyone in a very casual manner regardless of their difference in ages or ranks. Although, sometimes that aspect of her is sometimes perceived as quite brash and obnoxious due to the lack of manners and her simple-minded self. Because of the easy-going nature that often blinds her from noticing any signs of ill intentions, people could go as far as using her friendliness as an advantage to later eventually betray her trust, much to her own dismay.
Nevertheless, if anything Kokoro is actually known for, it's her strong heart. This is especially prevalent when she accepted Angel Game as a new "gift" into her life, rather than blaming it as the source of her own misfortunes. She promises to make the most out of this power that she claimed as the "final gift from her mother"--and this dedication not only lead her to a new chapter in her life, but also paved a bright path that slowly shaped her into a better person. She doesn't apply sentiment on herself alone, either, as the only reason Kokoro wanted to befriend anyone that she met is to spread her positivity, hoping that her feelings will reach everyone and motivates them to keep moving forward no matter how tough a hurdle is.

Backstory
Kokoro often felt guilty that her "misfortune", at a first glance, seemed like nothing compared to her friends--but for someone of her age--her backstory often adds to the general belief that Kokoro is considered someone tough; as she's somehow able to "endure" all of these by herself...
For almost her entire life up until now, Kokoro lived with only her mother. Her father is working overseas ever since her childhood, and she rarely has ever seen nor remember his face ever since.
At some point, her mother is forced to be hospitalized and bedridden--which ended up lasting for another several years--ultimately, that incident also affected Kokoro's life as everything started to fall apart. She visited her mother every day in hopes that she would recover and return home...only to face the reality that that long-awaited day will never happen. Her mother ended up passing away, few weeks before her 12th summer vacation.
To this day, Kokoro always kept her mother's memories and words in her mind, even after her life have "restarted" as an Angel Gamer. Despite often seemed like she has accepted her fate, a part of her is still mourning over the loss of her mother.
Current story
Even after facing what she considers her biggest misfortune, Kokoro's still kept her strong motivation to never give up on any difficulties. She became an Angel Gamer not because she felt "forced" to, but solely to repay all of her late mother's deeds by becoming stronger despite all the hurdles she has to get through.
In concurrence events, Kokoro often attempts to convince others to believe that possessing a "Heart" and having misfortunes is not the end to everything. She's also one of the few that think Angel Game should not replace your life, but and is meant to be something that encourages and help you to face everything with your own strength--which adds to many reasons why Kokoro is the primary protagonist that aims to lead everyone in the path of light.

Facts
- Her last name, "Hidamari" means "sunshine" or "sunny spot".
- "Kokoro" means "heart" or "soul".
- She's currently working part-time at her relatives' family-run lunch shop; "Beniya: Bento&Bakery".
- And much to most people's surprise, she's actually very good at cooking and housework.
- In addition, Kokoro is also actually a nutrition nerd. She strongly believes that having a balanced meal and homemade foods are important for one's well-being and why it leads to her disliking unhealthy foods like instant meals and fast foods.
- Kokoro is also a part of the soccer club in her school.
- Kokoro's headgear is called an "earflap".
- She's almost never seen without any headgear covering her head, to the point she would wear anything close to it (like a beanie or bandana) in the absence of her trademark earflaps and even sleeps wearing hooded blankets.

Reika Satou
Childhood friends
Being neighbors and sharing the same class since they first met, Kokoro and Reika are very close as if it's the few "families" that each other still rely on. Kokoro have witnessed various changes towards Reika's personality, but even now, she still greatly understand Reika's thoughts well despite her lack of talkativeness, and have always stayed as her closest friend no matter what happens.
Kozue Higurashi
Friends
Both shared many traits of being the most athletic and energetic of the group, but also the most simple-minded. While both respect and treat each other as equals in terms of strength, Kozue is often seen as a "big sister" figure to Kokoro.
Kagami Matsumoto
Friends
At first, Kokoro had difficulties of not comparing Kagami with her late mother due to various similiarities they shared, but she eventually set them apart and respects Kagami as her own person. With Kagami providing many knowledge and hospitality towards Kokoro, she tries to repay back by attempting on curing Kagami's phobia...?
Sakane Mikano
Friends
While Sakane saw Kokoro as her rival, Kokoro thinks of the opposite--as she simply thought Sakane is another person she could get along with. However, upon knowing more about Sakane, Kokoro began to take her more seriously as a rival, and later eventually warmed up to each other as actual friends.
