Confident and self-assured, Avery is not a person with a lot of -if any- self doubt. This is unfortunate, since he tends to be stupid, and fuck up simple tasks.
He's a decent sorcerer, although his spells sometimes hinder himself more than his opponents. He is currently travelling with a group of friends he made at adventuring school.
Avery remains very positive, even in the face of great danger that they absolutely cannot handle himself. He is also more than capable of holding grudges, and believes all debts should be repaid- unless of course, hes the one who has to be paying. They tend to forget simple instructions, and they have a terrible habit of charging themself directly into harms way. He has maybe 3 braincells active at all times. Their desire for money and power often take precedence over his own wellbeing. Not because he's greedy, but because they're genuinely not smart enough to realize what he's doing wrong.
He's also very confident in his ability to converse with people, and usually reverts to flirting to solve conflicts. They tend to talk over his party members, believing that dont worry! He can handle this! In fact, they probably CAN handle it, but that doesnt mean they SHOULD. If his charismatic personality and charming smile don't work, he usually uses violence. Immediately.

A twin pair of looted silver daggers that he dual wields. They're his favorite melee weapons he owns, and typically his first choice.
A small iron scimitar he looted off a skeleton. He doesn't use it much.
A spear he looted off a skeleton. He uses it to get more range and keep his distance when attacking.
A wooden rod that's intended to help him focus his magic. He has never used it.
A crossbow he stole. He has yet to actually use it, since he's bad at aiming. He uses the bolts occasionally to stab things.

Control

If it fails the saving throw, it is charmed by you until the spell ends or until you or your companions do anything harmful to it. The charmed creature regards you as a friendly acquaintance. When the spell ends, the creature knows it was charmed by you.

You create a shard of ice and fling it at one creature within range. Make a ranged spell attack against the target. On a hit, the target takes 1d10 piercing damage. He was cool mostly until he stabbed me. I know they're selfish and chaotic evil or whatever, but its very helpful on the off-chance he isn't being an ass.
It agrees with me on a lot of things, but sometimes if I don't then they use control on me and make me do whatever. It's fine, I guess. I trust it enough. I won't if they keep stealing from me, though. They've done it twice. I don't like people who steal from me.
Another fellow tiefling in our party. She's cool I guess. We disagree sometimes but I did save her life once to there's that.
She also stole from me. I really wish people would stop doing that.
He's cool too. I guess. I'm kinda scared of him since the threw Azazel once, and nut-punched a guy to death. He doesn't seem to have any ill intent though, which is good.
He and Azazel got kidnapped once and came back with a whole dwarf. His name is Leroy. He's cool too I guess. He's something like Arannis' pet I think.
She's funny, I like her. I think she's a warlock? She seems too nice to be one though. She really likes cactuses, which is weird, but at least she doesn't steal from me.
She really likes women too, but that's normal. She ate goop off a statue once, for whatever reason. I think she's a little stupid.
He's quiet and therefore better than everyone else. Not sure if he's done anything throughout our entire time together, though. I don't really pay too much attention to him.
