THIS SECTION CONTAINS SPOILERS FOR THE CHIMERA HEART WEBCOMIC! PLEASE READ AT YOUR OWN RISK!

Personality:

Taimu is a prim and proper human. He tends to address others very formally, such as when he refers to Ita as "Miss Ferguson." He accepts his dedication to the Crest of the Stars and his position as a Head Caretaker with pride, and takes it very seriously. However, he gets so caught up in his training that he tends to overwork himself, and because of his serious demeanor, he appears cold, stern, and easily annoyed. Despite this, as others get to know Taimu, they learn that he can be very joking and light-hearted, especially around his girlfriend, Kokoro.

Powers and Abilities:

Taimu is training to become a full-fledged Starrior, but it is currently unknown what his preferred fighting style is like.

Because Taimu is a human, he can learn unnatural magics like Bending Bracelets. However, it is currently unrevealed in Chimera Heart if Taimu practices any unnatural magics.

Backstory (Spoilers):

Kokoro was developed by Taimu’s father with the intention of fighting as a Starrior within the Crest of the Stars Android Squadron. Due to health complications that plagued Taimu’s father, he was unable to become a Starrior, and instead worked to build and develop androids.

Kokoro was developed with what androids were rarely equipped with at the time: the ability to feel emotions. Taimu’s father described her as his “magnum opus,” and due to his lack of friends in his younger years, Taimu and her quickly became friends. As Kokoro was perfected, the relationship between her and Taimu turned romantic.

Taimu and Kokoro promised each other that they would become Starriors together in order to make Taimu’s father proud. Unfortunately, due to his health complications, Taimu’s father passed before Kokoro and Taimu even became trainees.

Taimu is now more dedicated than ever to become a Starrior, even becoming a Head Caretaker for House 13 in the CotSAP on top of being a trainee. Although he may seem stern, it is only due to sincerity of which he takes his Crest duties.

History in Chimera Heart (Spoilers):

Arc 1

Taimu lives with Kokoro (his girlfriend) and Mazenta in House #13. When Ita, Kashi, Una, and Faji move in, Taimu introduces himself in a formal tone, establishing his authority as the Head Caretaker. After everyone introduces themselves to one another, Taimu goes over the rules of the house with the others. When he is finished, he tells everyone to claim their rooms, but that three of the rooms were already taken by him, Kokoro, and Mazenta. Ita charges up the stairs, shouting that she wants a room with a window, causing Taimu to yell back that all of the bedrooms have a window.

The next morning, Taimu is making pancakes for the others. He strikes a pose in his pink cooking apron as Kokoro laughs, causing her to blush.

In Chapter 4, the signal on the living room's television mysteriously cuts to static. Kokoro calls for Taimu to take a look, but as Taimu looks at it in confusion, the signal cuts out completely. When Masuku and Yami appear on the screen and begin threatening the Crest of the Stars, Taimu quickly calls Diego, a Starrior, to ask if he knows what's happening. After Yami's broadcast interruption ends, Taimu leaves the room to call the Crest.

As the other members of House #13 begin having dinner, Taimu returns to the table. Ita loudly bursts out her confusion and questions to Taimu about what had just happened. Taimu replies that he is not sure what Yami's motive is, but he believes that it's connected to a recent rise in criminal activity within Manthia. While he doesn't know what this means for the citizens of Manthia, he warns the others that "Army members" could be anywhere, and they should stay alert.

In Chapter 7, Taimu attends a school football game with Kokoro, Mazenta, Una, and Faji, who are all dressed up to the student section theme of "neon." Una teases him about not being dressed for the theme, but Taimu replies that he doesn't see the point if he isn't a student at Carnelian anymore. Kokoro replies that he's still an alumni and takes a glow-stick bracelet from Yosei, who is handing them out to the students. Kokoro fastens the bracelets onto Taimu's wrist, telling him that now he's "dressed up," causing him to smile and blush. Before the first quarter of the game ends, Taimu and Kokoro get a message from the Crest, telling them that they need to go on a training mission due to a few shadow monster reports in the area. When Faji asks where they're going, Taimu replies that the Crest sometimes calls them to go on random missions, somewhat like a pop quiz. He tells them that they'll be back before the game's over and puts Faji in charge of the group before leaving with Kokoro.

Later, after a trio of Starriors swoop in and save Ita, Faji, Una, Mazenta, and Kashi from a shadow monster and three Yami's Army members, Kokoro and Taimu rush over to them. They were looking for the same monster that the Starriors had defeated. To Ita's excitement, Taimu reveals that these Starriors were the supervisors for their training mission, and that he and Kokoro are aiming to become full-fledged Starriors like them. Per the request of the Starriors, Taimu uses a teleporter and whisks him and the other members of House #13 back home. Ita continues to ask Taimu and Kokoro questions about Starriorship. This sparks an argument between Ita and Kashi, causing Ita to storm up to her room. After Kashi explains the argument and the Fire of Mythenhaft to the group, he sprouts his wings and flies upstairs to apologize to Ita. Taimu starts to shout at Kashi to not fly in the house, but Kokoro stops him, telling Taimu to allow it "just this once."

Arc 2

Taimu and Kokoro attend the homecoming dance together. As a slow song begins, Taimu playfully asks Kokoro for a dance, which causing Kokoro to blush and accept.

In Chapter 16, Nea taunts Kokoro for being a robot. This is shown to affect her performance in a basketball game, and after Ita calls her "a machine" for scoring a basket, it triggers Kokoro to the point that she has to step out of the game. However, she claims it to be just a malfunction in her system. Later that night, Taimu gives her an inspection, but quickly realizes that Kokoro's system isn't the problem. When Taimu asks about her emotions, Kokoro snaps at him, stating that a robot like her wasn't meant to feel human emotions. Kokoro threatens him with her laser cannon, so Taimu allows her some space. In her emotional outburst, Kokoro uses a screwdriver to impale her forearm, rendering her laser cannon useless.

Later that evening, Kokoro gets an alert from the Crest about a potential threat in the area. Kokoro sneaks out, but not before silencing Taimu's alert notification that he slept through. After Yami defeats Kokoro and puts her "out of commission," Ita and Taimu track down Kokoro and recover her body. Taimu assures Ita that Kokoro will be okay.

Arc 3

Taimu is determined to fix Kokoro. However, he is so obsessive to fix her that he overworks himself. He spends ten days straight in House 13’s backyard shed, skipping meals and sleeping on the floor.

When Ita comes in and realizes how hard Taimu has been overworking himself, she confronts him about it and asks for him to take a break. Taimu snaps at Ita, which causes Ita to say that Kokoro wouldn’t want him to work himself so hard. Dropping his screwdriver, he and Ita plop onto the bench to take a break. He tells Ita about how he fell for Kokoro, and how they were determined to become Starriors to make his father proud, as he never could become an active Starrior due to health complications that he would eventually pass away from. Ita leaves Taimu, telling him to take care of himself for Kokoro. He smiles and tears up at the breakfast Ita brought to him, making the promise to himself.

About a month later, Taimu tells the others that Kokoro has been fixed. He powers her on, causing her to awake with a jolt. Kokoro tearfully apologizes for being so impulsive and lashing out. Taimu comforts her, telling her that it doesn’t matter what others think of her and that she is one of the most “human” beings he knows. He will always stay by her side because he loves her. Kokoro chuckles and calls him a dork before the two share a kiss.

In Chapter 22, Kara shows up unexpectedly during an evening blizzard, confessing that she’s a member of Yami’s Army. She explains to Taimu, Kokoro, and Mazenta that she just wants to tell her side of things, and Taimu agrees to let her. Kokoro is still suspicious of Kara and keeps her cannon armed, wondering if they should get an actual Starrior to conduct the interrogation. Taimu disagrees as he worries that a Starrior presence would cause Kara to become quiet.

Taimu conducts the interrogation. Per Mazenta’s request, Taimu allows Karami to spend the night on the condition that him and Kokoro supervise in the living room.

Kokoro is Taimu's girlfriend of over a year. While most of the time he appears formal and serious, he turns into a playful softie around her.

Ita is Taimu's housemate. While her overenthusiasm can quickly get shut down by Taimu, Ita loves learning about Starriorship from him.
