Gentle to a fault, L.P. would never be the person you want to have backing you in a fight. Laid back and friendly, he would rather see everyone happy and try to talk peace before letting a conflict arise, but his lack of confidence often gets in the way. Despite this, he is competitive, and frequently employs sarcasm to mask when he is uncomfortable in a situation, which can lead some people to misread him as critical—a fact he would be mortified about if he realized.

His general inability to stand up for himself and voice his concerns often causes L to bottle up negative emotions, which can lead to some spectacular blow-ups, though most of his frustration is directed internally. However, with his tendency to equilibrium, he makes up with others just as quickly. His moods change with the weather, usually for the worse, but no matter how hurt or sad, he would never willingly harm another person. All quirks aside, on the whole, those who know him would tell you he's one of the sweetest people you'll ever meet.

L.P. grew up in a small but comfortable home, one of two children of a single father—a widower, after his wife passed away when L was around four years old. L knew his mother only long enough to have vague memories of her, but as the baby of his family, he was still pampered and loved by his older sister and father. Jeremiah, his father, was tough on the two, fighting hard to provide a good life for them, and encouraging them to always work and study hard and do things that made them better people.

Though L.P.'s sister, Carolina, always seemed to be the more outstanding of the pair, L quickly began to shine with his own talents. He had a talent for athletics, and took quickly to most sports, finding a special love for skateboarding. Fascinated by his father's work as an electrician, and his hobbyist tinkering, L began studying electronics, which segued into an interest in digital audio. Around high school, he began experimenting with creating and remixing music, and soon found that he enjoyed expressing himself artistically. He continued working with this on the side, working towards his studies in engineering.

At the same time, the was another discovery and development in L.P.'s life, one that was a long time coming. Since his childhood, L, always felt there was something off about himself, a discomfort that he couldn't describe, not realizing until his teens what that mismatch was. It was with the help and support of his friends and family that he was able to seek aid, and align himself physically with the young man he now knew himself to be, something that he will always be grateful for.

Of course, even in an easy life, there always comes trouble.

Besides the sticky situations L often let himself get pulled into, thanks to his people-pleasing nature—something that often led his sister to intervene on his behalf—L.P.'s life took a drastic turn when he met Farad, also known as "Slice," the lead singer of a small-time local indie band, Strangeh8. Though their sound was rough and not his style, he was instantly transfixed by their passion—and particularly by Slice. The two, despite the odds, soon became friends, which slowly grew into more, and somehow or other L.P. became an auxilliary part of the band as well.

L.P. now works alongside Strangeh8, helping them with their shows, production, and all manner of miscellaneous task, all out of his belief in them—and his yet-to-be-acknowledged true feelings for Farad—all the while working on his own music, both in and out of the clubs. Though the spotlight frightens him, he still loves to share his work with others, and has amassed a small and loyal following of his own outside of the band.

He still doesn't know what he wants to do in life, but in general has been happy with the way things have gone, and as long as the world keeps giving him some good to go with the bad, then he's more than content just to leave things at that.

Name was originally a nickname/permutation of his deadname, [you know ;)], which morphed into 'Lizard Party,' and then was shortened to L.P. He refuses to tell anyone what the name stands for, and goes only by the initials wherever he can. Frequently ends up with coffeehouse cups labeled with 'Elpi.'

As a DJ, he currently goes by the pseudonym 'GNYMEDE'

Unlike his not-boyfriend, he has a license and a car.

Exerts a lot of energy at gigs and parties for the sake of the crowd, but actually has very limited stores, and often ends up incredibly wiped out after a job. Being introverted, his music sometimes serves as a shield for him; what he does is to share his passion and make others happy, not to bring attention to himself. Drinks probably too many energy drinks to compensate.

Has a few different pairs of specially fitted headphones to account for his frills.

Has a tattoo of a compass rose on his chest, just over his heart. Wishes he could have ear piercings for stylistic purposes, but others' experiences have proven that piercing one's frills is a Bad Idea.

Has some cursory knowledge of sign language due to his best friend from his skating days being deaf. She and him were both members of the Million Rockets crew (originally called 'Rocket Runts') before she went pro and he began take more of an interest in his music.

Is frugal in his spending because he hopes to pay back all of the funds his father contributed from his own savings in other to help L pay for his top surgery, and as thanks for all of the years of working hard as a single parent to put food on the table—even though his father insists he doesn't need repayment.

Description

Contrary to the stereotypes of a lazy lizard, L likes to keep active and healthy. Physically fit, with a lanky, athletic build, he has no trouble fitting into most garb—assuming that it's appropriately modified for his thick, reptilian tail, which is lined with keratin spikes and a smooth underside—but he favours outfits that are loose, comfortable, and trendy. The natural brown of his hair is usually doctored up with bleached highlights, and neck length at most, most often covered with designer baseball caps.

It is easy to pick up on his lizard heritage at a glance, but aside from the tail, the bony frills that define his ears, reacting kinetically to his moods, and his naturally split tongue, L appears relatively human—not that he cares either way; he's shy, and would prefer that you not look at him so long, anyway.
